To make the dogs more comfortable I recommend putting a piece of metal with padding under them and attaching it to the paramotor, And it will be safer when landing they might hurt they're paws when you land.

If they're used to it by now and they don't get excited, probably best you don't do it. If they get excited about flying then they must clearly enjoy it so carry on. This video is now 2 years old so you must know by now. I'd base your decision to fly with them on that, as long as you keep it safe. I'm taking up this sport soon. Found an instructor an hours drive away. No dogs with me though!

on the rear axle I would put a bit of U shaped metal that their hind paws fit in ... Its likely the lack of weight on paws is the unsettling factor. but a little ability to stabilize themselves may be all they need ;)

I stop by because of the photo of the two dogs still not sure what I feel about this Flight I have three dogs I would imagine one of them would be OK going in the air but I think he would be terrified possibly give him a heart attack anyways looks like you took as many precautions as needed The dogs look strapped in pretty securely however I did read through a bunch of your comments the majority of the people are definitely against this flight. You know your dogs temperament better than any of the people commenting and you put a lot of effort into this I applaud you for making this work I could’ve never imagined this set up. 👍

I love flying, I love dogs, I would fly my malinois with me. This shows how brave, dogs can be, and what they're willing to do for their owner. Im not saying Dogs need to fly, but they can do it. If they are balanced, if you have a proper bonding with them, if they trust you. Flying is something enjoyable for humans, and so it can be for the dogs. They feel safe with their paws on your lap. Contratulations. Im just not a fan of parapents. I prefer hang gliders. keep Safe!

I don’t mean to be negative but man...this is the kinda shit that’s gonna get our sport regulated even further. If one of those welds bust, you will be off balance and burn in to the ground. No protection on the dogs ears...their hearing is way more sensitive than ours. If you have a hard landing the dogs will suffer the most...broken legs...tails in props. You can measure all you want but if you land hard and bend your frame up their tales will be the first thing to go. Again, I love paramotoring as much as anyone but this has dumb written all over it.

The flying device makes a lot of noise. I cannot imagine how painful and uncomfortable it is for these poor pups. In fact, the black ones does not want to leave due to fear, not because she see something in distance as he claims. If I am correct, their ears are a lot more sensitive to any sort of noise. Yeah some might think this is cute. However, the reality is that all the noise harmful to these animals as it is causing them emotional stress. Please reconsider putting them through this until you get a better flying machine.

Great video! You can see your black dog needs the comfort of touching you to feel reassured. But your posting shows it is only their 2nd flight. I have been flying PPG for 5 years now and I remember my first few flights on my own......I wish I had someone's leg to touch too! Don't concern yourself with any of the negative comments here, you know your dogs better than ANYONE offering a negative comment. I think your effort to build your harness system shows your love for the sport and the love for your dogs - wanting to share the experience with them. Good for you!

I am a paramotor pilot and would love to take my dogs up, (if I had a trike, I foot launch). I would suggest however a helmet, dog helmets are available and could be fitted for ear protection. Secondly, definitely room for improvement on the harness situation. I bet they love it though, beats sticking their head out the car window!
