Josh, I recommend it. Used to fly down in Florida and loved it. Be safe and do everything incrementally (get proper training). Get your kiting down well. Once you're in the air, everything is intuitive.

So happy your doing this video, I am trying to convince my wife that this is a viable thing, she knows and respects you guys, has been to two of the three flite fests, and knows I am a pilot, but can't wrap her head around the paramotor concept and how safe it actually is..... YES I want to see Josh fly one of these, right off my RIGHT WINGTIP as I am!!! Go for it guys. Paramotor is big in California, there is a Dealer just north of where FF West is going to be held.

I have a friend that has one, but other than going on your back, it is a trike you sit in. it had a two cylinder rotax engine in it. he brought it to me as he was having stalling problems and I run a small engine shop. before he bought it, it had sat for a few years, and the carbs were gummed up. we tried cleaning it several times, but eventually I ordered new carbs and it ran fine after that. biggest pain getting these up is getting the sail positioned just right on the ground behind you with the cords not tangled or twisted so it will pop up in the air when air from the prop hits it

I've flown a lot of fixed wing, rotorcraft, some lighter than air, jumped out of my fair share of aircraft, but paramotoring has a super big appeal to me - can't wait to really get into it. Looking forward to your videos!

You guys NEED to Visit the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum in Warren Ohio. They have a Hanger full of Models and other aviation things. They have a half scale Corsair and 2 Piper Cubs. The museum is on an airfield called SLOAS Airfield. Josh can bring his plane in if he wants to. I filled out a General Aviation Form sooo hope to see you guys there

If there is one thing RC has taught me it is that I don't want to actually be in the air myself. Too many factors to predict and cover. I've had RC experiences where I thought everything was setup perfectly and still crashes due to failures. You don't get the luxury of foam and tape repairs when your own body is up there. Cheers to the guys that have the stones for that though.

PPG like any aviation sport is a dangerous as the person flying. You can manage your risks quite well by choosing to stay on the ground in sketchy conditions and only fly equipment suited to your experience. You guys have to try this!

Thank Josh just want to say what an amazing job you have done with flite test, I have built 6 scratch build planes 5 of them are just toss planes and one is a control lined plane with no electronics at all. I am having so much fun building you planes and maybe one day I can save up for a power pack. -Keep it up

It's a safer, easier to fly craft, than the fixed wing aircraft that you are already licensed to fly. Go for it! You can even do it with a triangle or quad landing gear for launch and landing.

If you follow most the basic rules of ppg'ing there aren't many accidents unless they're cause by the pilots. First and last 2/2.5 hours of the day and don't fly on the back side of a hill in the rotor. New gliders are getting safer and safer. Like anything else, it can be as dangerous as you want to it to be but it's one of the best things I've gotten into!

Has anyone tried to beat the morning commute? In big cities at rush hour, the travel speed is around 15-25 mph. It would be epic to take off from your roof or down the street, and land in the parking lot at work. No stop lights, no unexplained traffic problems.
