My issue is that the gate is closed, the pin is down but not connecting to the pull? Can't find a way to get it off. Suggestions appreciated.

Thank you! Mine stopped working in summer. Turns out, a bunch of naps built in the lock. I pulled it down repeatedly to loosen it up and a dozen black ants came scurrying out.

Thanks for posting this. It had a bit of debri and I used a knife like you suggested to loosen the magnet. All fixed. Thanks mate, Pete from Australia .

Thanks for posting - I was having this very issue. I believe the mowers when the work over there with the edger and weeder kick up a lot of debri and dust which gets into the cavity causing that sticking. I used the knife as you suggested and sprayed from WD40 on it and got it back to working - thanks

Instantly fixed my problem, thank you. Somehow a bunch of dirt got in there clogging it up.

Help: I need to remove and replace the MagnaLatch on my gate although the GATE IS CLOSED (Key broke in lock). Anyone know how to remove this WHILE THE GATE IS CLOSED? I was able to access the screws on the outside but in order to remove,, I needed to remove the screws but there isn't enough room between the gate and post to remove them.

Hi, this was very helpful, but my pin got stuck again. Any suggestions? Should I spray white lithium or WD-40 on the pin? I don’t see any way to remove the top lock to disassemble and clean. There’s a security hex screw that I will not be able to remove. I know this video is 4 years old. Hopefully someone can provide an answer. I can’t find any help on ddtech.com
