Thank you so much for mentioning me in your video! I just shared it on the "Community" section of my KZbin channel, good information you said here 👍🏼Here's a couple other things I'd recommend if I may: 1. I would recommend always trailering your bike to a track day for 3 main reasons: you'll be very exhausted mentally and physically and it could be dangerous riding home afterwards and if you happen to crash, you're stuck. Easy enough to rent a U-haul trailer and/or truck for cheap. And you're going to want to bring water/food/some tools, maybe a pop up tent, chair and table during your downtime. **Best case scenario, go with someone who already does track days a bunch so they can take your bike with them, show you the ropes, give good info, they probably already have the whole set up, etc. and take a lot of pictures/notes for when you go back and what you learn afterwards. 2. I would also recommend full leathers for any track day/school: 1 or 2 piece leathers that zip up...if you'll going anything over 50mph, which on a track you're likely are, you're going to want to be best protected in case you go down. The last thing you want is to wish you had on better gear when you lowside at 100mph. 3. If it's your first track day or your 20th, I highly recommend doing as much lead/follow with someone way better/faster than you as much as you can. Following someone lines is so helpful...seeing when they move their body, and how much, etc. and when they're following you, the feedback could be gold. 4. American Supercamp is $500 for 2 days of training and they provide full gear and the bikes and food!!! Plus you get a "MotoJitsu" discount as well. MotoJitsu.com/courses and the instructors are current MotoAmerica racers!!!!

Love it bro. Great advice and this isn't my area of expertise which is why I recommended you. I've been riding in one form or another for about 15 years but I'm well aware I'm only knowledgeable enough to know that I don't know nearly enough. I'd love to have you on for a live (remote) podcast. Be great to chat with you and I think everyone would benefit. If you're interested email me gary@paramounttactical.com

This is cool to see as well as the usual stuff. Found you as I started getting into learning about PRS the last 2 months. I'm the parts manager at a shop in Oklahoma. We have a huge motocross support program here, but one of the owner's sons does road racing as well. So we have a team that goes to the MotoAmerica series and a few others I think. I stay so busy getting parts for everyone I never make it to the races anymore. Downside of working in the motorcycle industry, it's not at much fun anymore. But that is what I have my new firearm hobby for!! I am trying to post my own videos about what I'm learning and getting up to as I get deeper into the shooting sports. Good stuff, folks!! Have a great weekend!!!

Congratulations on your track day. I wish I had done one or a few back when I was able to ride, not so long ago.

Guns, motorcycles, and carpentry (or other mechanical discipline) are the holy trinity as far as I am concerned. (no offense or blasphemy intended…just that guns and bikes are fun)

I’m wanting to go that route too. I want to get a supermoto for me and my 9yr old so we can do track days together. Been looking at the husky and the KTMS. Might just covert Yamaha or Honda dirt bikes

Congrats on your first track day and welcome to the addiction. One thing is i want to point out is your body position, from the view of your 360 camera, it appears you are not shifting your butt to the inside of the corner prior coming to the corner. By shiftingvyour body weight to the inside of the corner, you'll steer the bike better. When you become more comfortable hanging off the bike, you'll be carrying more speed thru the corner. I suggest put a camera on the tail of your bike so you can review yourself. I miss doing track days, so much fun. I just dont miss the logistics of track days.

I wasn't shifting my body... almost at all, at least until my last session which was 2 sessions after this one. I was trying to break things down. Between concentrating on braking, lines, and shift points, being aware of other riders, being on track for first time, I knew adding body position was beyond my bandwidth. I went slow first 2 sessions and just worked on lines and hitting apexes and learning the track. Session 3, I picked up pace and worked more on braking and went from there. I have a LOT to work on but thoroughly enjoyed it and it's something I'll continue to pursue. Thanks for the pointers! -Gary

@paramounttactical I completely understand, it's a lot to take in on your first day. It'll all come naturally and the ah-ha moments will click in. I look forward to your next track day videos and see the progression that will come. Enjoy it....

I really want to get into riding but there isn’t a place anywhere near me to ride/practice like Summit Point. And the driver around here are a different kind of stupid.
