Were the trumpet not able to go up high enough to have the melody? Is that why they gave it to the french horns or was it just intonation issues?

Since the original was played on a synthesizer brass, and keep in mind the octave was quite high, So bassically the trumpet probably couldn't handle it , so they probably had to switch it out to something else that would work :P
