That intro was so haunting! Just gorgeous!! I was very sceptical seeing just a choir tackle this song, but you did it more than justice! Well dome!

Thank you Tyler :-) When I started the group, it was reforming from a previous group Naked Voices who had been together for many years. To stop us from getting stale, I set out to find or commision pieces that were always just that bit too hard, or something that many would say couldn't be done. I wanted us to always be on the edge of what we could achieve - and so keep learning. It was fun seeing the audience reaction - especially the *cool* kids playing air guitar, who were amazed to see a bunch of "old folk" singing Radiohead. Much of the credit should go to the amazing arranger James Davey.

You all killed it! Great performance and excellent choice of song and taste in music!

Thank you Scott ! A lot of credit does have to go to the amazing arranger, James Davey, who we commissioned to create this piece for us.

nielsnielsniels Thanks very much Niels. Feel free to share our vid and make it go viral if you feel like doing so ;-) This was actually the first time we'd sung it live. Best wishes David (MD, Original Sing)

Great!! Well done guys, loved it!! Watched it thinking that all of the others were the imaginary chicken voices around the ginger cougar. At 4 mins I felt sorry for the hot girl, should be at least 2 people on that vocal... Real tough (I'd rain down on you lol). 😂

Wow, you just killed it, I'm so blessed that I found this video on KZbin. Congratulations to you guys, it wasn't always correct, but this song is really hard, either on instruments or vocals. You're amazing, I'm speechless.
@davidgreen96476 жыл бұрын
Thanks Corinne! :-) This was actually the very first time we performed it and yes, it was very hard in places. Keeping everyone properly in time without a reference drummer was the hardest part, along with ironing out pronunciation differences, so as to unify the sound. A wonderful arrangement by James Davey.

Thank you Guilherme, that's very kind of you. And yes, I agree re art. What has always driven me has been making people *feel* with music, whatever the emotion. Make people really feel in a show and they come back again and again - it's the secret sauce for gigs.

A choir singing paranoid android - I thought this can’t work. I was wrong!

Thank you Gareth ! I was determined that the choir I ran was going to be brave and fearless and do precisely the stuff that shouldn't be possible. It did help working with the amazing arranger James Davey.

Going g-going going g-going going xD beautiful but those nonlexical vocables are goofy as fuck.
@davidgreen96476 жыл бұрын
Why thank you ! ;-) We were trying to use the voice as an instrument, to specifically try to avoid turning everything into words. Listen to the original song and the sound we were trying to emulate really is a sort of 'going' and much more interesting than 'ding' which many groups would default to.
