And we do help out a lot - even “unfriendly” countries when they experience some huge difficulties - like an earthquake/fires etc. we do understand that we all share the same planet. So EACH person’s life does matter. So only someone with a sick mind would be against Russia’s medical system helping a foreigner in a health need because of the financial reasons. That’s simply NOT how Russians are built and how we operate. Since soviet times we live by this principle called DRUZHBA NARODOV (дружба народов) - friendship between peoples. @user-mu9tr3kj9ywe also know how to flush feces down the toilet like a civilized person -- whereas Eurasian barbarians apparently think it goes in a waste basket (Mr. Sly will discover this when he visits a Russian lavatory). Previously, in Finland, before Moskali were rightfully banned from the civilized world, signs were posted in truck stops in Moskal language only (they were the only ones who needed to be told) explaining how to use a toilet properly. I am sure the Finns are happy they no longer have to deal with this. In addition, Homo Sovieticus also believes the sink is the proper place to deposit mucus, blood, and other bodily fluids - having no idea what tissue paper (Kleenex) is for. All of which combines to make using a Russian bathroom a wonderful experience.

My first trip to Moscow ended everything I saw on heard on American TV. It’s NOTHING like what Hollywood portrayed or politicians view Russia. My first impression of Moscow 2012 was how clean it is. Moscow is bigger than NYC, but NYC is a dump. Moscow subways and buses are more cleaner and functional than any US city. The people are wonderful. I too am a man of color and I speak Russian so it was easy to ask for directions and everyone are willing to help. As an American, on a train of 100 people, I would say 10 are obese. Whereas if it was the USA, it would’ve been 80 people are obese. That’s noticeable. The women, GOD DAMN, almost heaven. Sly, ain’t lying about the women. They are clever and they will test your manhood (that’s the Soviet blood in them). But after getting through the thick shell of their personality, great rewards. The dollar goes a long way, but I know Sly went cheap. The little apt, you get what you pay for. At $60 a night you’ll find a 3 or 4 star place. Overall, I recommend MORE Americans to visit Moscow and St. Pete’s. Personally St. Pete’s is a bit more fun than Moscow but no way a disappointment.

Anda que loco, jajajajaj, enjoy the trip, it's crazy. Very brave, I went to Moscow in July with my sister, she was scared, without me she would not have taken a step, I told her to go out alone and she told me you're crazy, she took advantage of me as much as she could, I studied in Moscow and I know the city well, plus the people are very friendly and help you with anything you need, the last straw was that I arrived at the hotel at night and a lady wanted to pay us for the hotel because we didn't have enough rubles. The people at the hotel were amazing they told me to pay one night and the rest in the morning after i went to exchange money.

talkin about the skin colour thing. the first time i visited america 2 yrs ago as a german i was shocked by the relevance of skin colour in the daily life. i was there at a college in boston and also travelled around the country a bit and experienced a lot of situations among the students but also in everyday life where colour played a role. i was e.g. personally addressed as a "white boy" in negative kontext, but also in positive contexts e.g. in humor and stuff... skin colour played a huge role. im a very open person, living in frankfurt am main which is a very multiculti city so i was hanging with a lot of different people. And i really had a great time - dont get me wrong . but i expected a lot of "nazi" jokes, but most of them were just "white" jokes. i noticed that a lot, it felt like a black/white thing which seems to be very relevant in america. not only in a bad way, even in humor and everyday life. dont get me wrong, but for me this was so dumb :D as a european this makes absolutely no sense to me. in europe alone there are so many nationalities and different ethnicities and we are sooo extremely different from each other. for each country there are steriotypes and different elements that describe the respective nation. all of them are white. same goes for africa i guess. every european will be able to call you the typical steriotypes of a french, english, irish, swedish, polish, italian, spanish, croation, greek, turkish, morrocan, tunisian, nigerian... and so on.... and i know that is very subjective but it felt like in america there is only black, white and hispanic.. for me, this is clearly an american thing. I think in russia, people give ZERO fucks about your colour

Some people in Russia can be racist because they’ve seen racism in movies and because they are assholes. As every multinational country we sadly do have problems and people sometimes are being mean and prejudice towards different nations, some regions are more concerned with nationality than the others, but everyday racism and skin color judgment is a rare animal in most of Russia.

Don't kid yourself. Russians don't really like black folk. I never encountered racism until I was in the American cities. I was told in a very black dominant area in Washington DC where I was starting a job to get back on the train. It was from an elderly black man. I don't know if he was warning me or threatening me in hindsight. I kept on walking and toured the area anyway. I also started my job in and became very good friends with my boss who was a very relevant black CEO in town. Also, I lived in Russia before that. Africans were very rare at the time. -white female American

Russians in general are a very clean people. They wash their cars often, they clean their shoes often. Their restaurants are MUCH cleaner than in the US and they dont have sticky tables when you sit down. X.x The issue they have is climate is rough, and destroys infrustructure and roads at a much faster rate. Also they put sand on roads every year, so there is a period of the year where the roads are dirty with dust and sand. Then it gets cleaned up for the summer. This is because of climate. People need to realize Russia has a lot of infrastructure upkeep that is required because of their climate that many other places just dont have.

Так не бывает =) Живу во Владивостоке, в Приморском крае. Приморский край по размеру как половина Италии, а населения меньше двух миллионов. On my way there I had thoughts of USSR , Soviet Union (basically everything I watched on tv growing up watching Hollywood movies where America is good and Russia is bad (and backwards) - ended up spending 3 months visiting Russia in the summer of 2017 and I didn’t want to leave - hope your experience is equally good. About communication! GPS jammers are being used in central Moscow due to recent situations with Ukrainian drones. They tried to blow up something inside the city. This is such an inconvenient security measure. In general, Russia is safe. There are cameras everywhere, people live above average for the most part and therefore there is no point in stealing anything here. Bicycles are not stolen, we have cheap electric scooters at every step here - for less than 1 dollar you can ride half of the center of Moscow. We have almost no homeless people, no organized crime. Shops are everywhere and they are open 24/7 (7 days a week!). Also, we have amazing delivery: you can order any food delivered to your apartment for very cheap and the courier will quickly bring it to you by bicycle, even at night. Russians don’t care what color of your skin or what orientation you are - if you are a good person, then you will be welcome everywhere. We don't have ghettos or "dangerous areas." And don't worry, we usually have very thick walls in our houses (to keep warm in winter), so you can talk without whispering at home.

How many people in Russia have a toilet in the house?
@VELVETPERSON
@VELVETPERSON 20 сағат бұрын
@@praesodym6117 in every house in city. it is an obligation enshrined in law. Even after renovating and building new houses, building contractors are required to install a toilet and running water, as well as a bathtub or shower. In rural areas there is no such obligation, but there must be a street toilet there, again, by law. but, most modern village residents install their own toilets and build bathrooms in their houses, since going to an outdoor toilet in winter is inconvenient. And we have not only toilets, but a personal washing machine and (sometimes) drying machine, which is average European and USA citizen can't afford to themselves 😎

I live in Moscow all my life, and sometimes I just walk around, using only English (just for fun, obviously). And it's actually really cool that most places like restaurants, public transport, etc. usually have English as an option, and you can easily make an order or get to any point in Moscow without using Russian at all. But if you actually talk to someone, the chances of them using English on a decent level are pretty low

The free Internet in the metro is not very good and there are advertisements (to turn off advertisements, you need to pay a subscription), but it is quite functional. secret: Many tourists don’t know this, but in Russia, you can get inside the Moscow Kremlin (behind the walls).
