Man this movie changed the game. Was made for only $15,000 & made nearly $200M & was shot in 7 days on a store bought camera by a first time filmmaker starring unknown actors. Definitely one of my fav horror franchises

And as always I will plug the documentary Bird V Magic Courtship of Rivals, it’s beautiful story and a perfect documentary. For a music reaction, I’d love to see Danny Carey Tool Pneuma Drum Cam. A great horror film that unbelievably hardly anyone has reacted to is "The Blackcoat's Daughter" (2015). Unique and well-executed. I'd love to watch your reaction to it. I won't tell you anything about the plot, of course. It has a great cast. I will share that the director is the Son of the lead actor of another horror film (a famous classic) that you have reacted to!

I know this movie is the butt of a lot of jokes, but I'll never forget seeing this in the cinema with a group of my friends. The audience I saw it with were really into it and you could genuinely feel the tension in the room, especially during the last 5-10 mins. Upon rewatch some of it is unintentionally hilarious, but at the time I remember it scaring the absolute shte out of me 😆

I was given it on a usb full of paranormal/alien documentaries, had no idea it was a film, my mate had sneakily edited the credits out!. Was a little freaky til the Ouija scene, then I twigged it was a movie.

To answer your question about Katie getting use to the haunting since it started as a kid, it also happened periodically so it would come back every few years and since it didn’t happen for a long time she probably forgot about the fear she felt as a kid and now it’s starting to come back to her

Dasha, I agree with you on the Exorcist. This movie is pretty good, but I think The Exorcism of Emily Rose is the second scariest movie, at least for me. It’s based on a true story, about a German girl, back in the 70s.

People can joke all they want about this film, but it is EASILY one of the greatest horror movies ever made. It did what many horror films fail to do - create tension. So many horror films these days cheap out with ridiculous jumpscares. There is no tension. You are always just assuming the next jumpscare is coming and it takes away from the suspense. This film builds it for the whole movie. Barely any jumpscares. It tells the story well and has you on edge the whole time.

In 1982 or 83 Eddie Murphy did his standup comedy special called Delirious, there is a part where he talks about the movie Poltergeist and other horror movies and how white people always stay in the house if there is a ghost. He said black folks would just leave. And you know what, He was right

I had a laugh when you said micka is a "great boyfriend", He is literally quite the opposite. He wasnt taking any of this seriously, he didnt care about her past trauma, disregarded his girlfriends boundaries for the camera and provoking the demon, and just didnt listen, he is literally why all this got worse because he kept pushing. She had every right to be angry with him.

hes an awesome boyfriend. deal with it. also this is only take someone can make if theyre not familiar with the movie franchise. this was all going to happen regardless of who the boyfriend was given that this was a way of securing the first male child in their family; which was the deal grandma made with the demons. micah was just a bystander in a really weird situation acting pretty normal about it all, even went as far as purchasing camera equipment and allowing for paranormal investigators to give advise on the issue.

Paranormal Activity 2 is a roller coaster and so much fun. Paranormal Activity 3 has some great ideas and wraps up the story. Both are much better than this one. Another that is never mentioned is Grave Encounters which is about a reality TV ghost hunter show where they get more than they bargained for whilst investigating an abandoned psychiatric hospital.

Its a psychological Horror movie. Psychological Horror is a very popular sub-genre of horror among horror fans. This sub-genre focuses on mental, psychological, and emotional states that the characters go through, using them as a way to relate and scare the audience simultaneously.

Ghost movies, slasher movies never scare me. But I don't know what it is about demon movies that kind of scare the crap out of me. Even though I don't believe in demons the thought of one makes me uneasy. I think it's because when I was a kid one of my church going friends said if you put a key in Daniel 7 in the bible that you would release a demon. That scared me and I never tried it. I'm not releasing a demon. The scary thing about demons is they seem to enjoy screwing with people. Paranormal 1 scared me. Paranormal 2 even more. If there were anymore I didn't see them.

Let's go straight to the point. I am a theologian & a teacher in the italian public school. The "paranormal events" exist, but they are actually very rare, caused mostly by occultism & other esotheric practices. The very 1st purpose of demons isn't that to move things, to create paranormal activity etc: their mean purpose is to divide us from God & to fill our hearts with the same hate they feel against God & against the human race, & the final goal they want to achieve isn't just to destroy our lives here, in our earthly life (which is one of their wishes, by the way) but essentialy to divide us from God Forever & ever, driving us in the Eternal perdition in hell. Also, "demonologists" etc. aren't real expert. If i am a theologian it's because i studied the Bible for years at the university; the ancient hebrew & greek languages, in order to understand the Bible itself better; the exegesis of the Christians' theologians, doctors of the Church & other experts. The study of historical enviroments & much more. That's why i can assure you that when a real case of infestation takes place, it's never because of human souls. The evil human souls in hell cannot interact with our World (gospel of Luke, chapter 16, verses 27-31). The good souls & angels, on the other hand, do not mess around, scaring people by moving objects, opening & closing lights & doors etc. When things like that happens & after an investigation no other rational reasons can be found, it's ALWAYS because of demons. It isn't the duty of lost human souls to tempt, torment & to scary us, but of the devil & of his angels, fallen with him in the beginning of the times. If this very rare case occurs, first of all do NEVER try to get in touch with the enemy. Do not call medium, who would just worsen the situation. Call the Church in which you belong, & get help by the Church's intercession so that, in the name of Christ, you can face the situation while getting protection. Prayers & a good life are the best weapons (Gospel of Matthew, chapter 17, verse 21).

👻 The most action-packed (and the best) entry in this franchise is the third one. 😱 I didn't care for the second movie. It involves too much time waiting for something to happen. 🥱 If you enjoyed this, you'll definitely also enjoy "1408" with John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson, which came out a year later. 👽 It is equally unsettling. 😎👍

The end of the film was different originally. This ending was suggested by none other than Steven Spielberg. I clearly remember the trailers for this film showing none of the film, instead it was people reacting in the cinema. Did whomever thought of the idea of turning the camera around to look at the audience invent reaction videos?
