Believe it or not, that stupid ending was STEVEN SPIELBERG'S IDEA! The original ending was Katie stabbing Mica to death and then days later getting discovered and shot by police. But after Spielberg adopted the film with Paramount, he suggested that they changed the ending because he didn't like it... So I guess you could technically blame all the sequels on Spielberg...

Well not really. When the original movie came out in theaters different theaters were playing different endings. Cause the one I saw was the ending you explained. This is one of those series where they saw how much money it was making and was gonna go through with a sequel regardless of them dying or not in the end.

The movie turns 10 today! Still the best one next to 3 Still have to sleep with the lights on after each viewing

i seen this one at the movie theaters and it scary me i never seen anything like this before but when i watch it at home it not scary at all i got used to it and i was a freshman when this movie came out and i really did enjoyed this movie and i love Katie Featherston in this movie and she is so beautiful and gorgeous and i love her as a actress and i want to see her in Paranormal Activity 7 i hope her character comes back we haven't see her back since in Paranormal Activity 5 the marked ones 2014 she had a small cameo at the end of the movie and i'm gonna give Paranormal Activity 2009 a 9/10 stars i like this movie and i will give this a high purchased but that just me though

These are the ones where it's like did you even watch the movie lol it's not the house it's following her everywhere. It affected her entire family, burned her house down, killed her parents (which granted she can't remember but still). It's always been there and always will, it's attached to her. Maybe Micah can leave but not Katie.

this wasn't near as scary as most made it out to be but still i was never bored in it and it had some scary parts no doubt..it's a matinee for me and though i saw it at the theater there's nothing in it that requires a big screen so it's probably better as a rental...I'm surprised this was such a massive success but I'm glad it succeeded

I really did enjoy this movie and Katie played my girl Katie Featherston she did a great job for this role and she was so awesome and she was so creepy in this film and scary too when she got possessed by the demon and she was so good for this character too and she sure is so beautiful and gorgeous too and I’m a fan of her now love her to death man and Micah played by Micah Sloat he did a great job too but sadly he dies tho and I was hoping he would survive in this movie too but he was still good for the lead character in this film tho and Amber played by my other girl Amber Armstrong she did okay job but she was barely in this movie tho and I wanted to see more of her character in this film too but she still did a great job for this role tho and finally Dr Fredrichs played by Mark Fredrichs he did okay job but he was barely in this movie tho and he is so wasted in this movie but he still did a good job for this character role tho and can’t believe it’s been 15 years now since this movie came out and it makes it the 15th Anniversary when this movie was released in theaters back then and I remember seeing it at the theater with my mom and it was so creepy and scary and I couldn’t not go to sleep at all and good old times too for me and I was a freshman in high school when I saw this movie and I was 14 years old at the time and I sure do missed those good old classic days back then too and time sure does flies in the movie world that’s for damn sure bro and overall I’m gonna give Paranormal Activity (2009) a 7.5/10 stars I really did enjoy this movie but could of been little bit better if it had some sexual content for a change and have the movie be little bit longer too and didn’t not like the ending that much either but that’s just me though in my opinions and thoughts on this movie Spill Audio bro

Movie was terrible the idea could have worked if they played it more psychological with is the ghost real or isnt the ghost real. This concept could be done in the same exact format if it was written smarter and more from psychological stand point.
