For the record, this game is what convinced me to get a PlayStation back in the day. It wasn’t a plane shooter, or an adventure game with a female protagonist, or a game about a bandicoot. No, it was this quirky game about a dog and some onion doing martial arts with paper physics and how I tried for likely an hour total to beat the demo at the local Target store at the time. I miss this era of creativity in games so much

I've seen a couple trailers and a behind the scenes promo with a lot of beta cutscene animations and even some gameplay graphics being different; it's a different proto build than the one that user Pips uploaded, possibly from fall/winter 1998. You see, there's so much beta and prototype content and more hidden away that it's essentially become a rabbithole at this point. Seriously, there's probably more merchandise we don't even know of as well. We all just gotta keep digging....

i think parappas intent was to allow the player to create their own inputs !! rather than follow a strict chart ^__^ thats why cool mode is mechanic . if the inputs the players put are good enough (rather than follow the instructors inputs strictly) they enter cool mode and try to keep up their rhythm

I'm kind of curious, how many characters did you make for these games? Parappa 2 alone has more than an ensemble of unique tertiary and background characters, it must have taken you years to make so many imaginative models for each subsequent release.
