I've always thought of Nick Drake's music to be sacred ground, a line that really shouldn't be crossed. The way you have approached Nick's music is absolutely flawless, sheer perfection. You have treated it with the utmost respect. I think what Julie said was really cool and I have to agree, "You need to see yourself through our eyes". I guess it's possible to not know how good you really are, like being in the eye of the hurricane. Take care Tobias.... Thanks!!!

You look and have the same demeanor as one of my really good friends that passed away. I always return to your videos because you remind me of him. Keep up the good work.

Didn't mind at all, infact your voice MORE than makes up for 'any' imperfections. I've found your vocals to be the closest yet to Nicks, especially in that 'ethereal' Nick Drake sense. It really is beautiful. I would love to hear a studio version of it with an absolutely perfect, very expensive reverb on the vocals and guitar. It would be heaven.

You should sing more. You are adorable. We used to go see an acoustic guitarist locally, but they moved and I believe he quit music. A shame. They played Southern American blues mostly. I enjoy watching the hands of classical guitar. Smiles, from Alabama USA.

Thank you for the feedback and the kind words. I'm really glad you like the sound. It's really just an old Zoom H2 that I run through Garageband on an equally old Macbook. I'm surprised that I still get decent results with it. All the editing/processing is software based. I make a few mixing adjustments, but nothing complex. Again, I appreciate the input. I can't always assess the final sound quality well.

Wow, amazingly accurate vocals...Nick's lyrics always sound better with 'his voice' as it was like another layer to the whole song and your vocals are in no way an 'impression' but an accurate representation of the song. Beautiful...

Oh man, I just started learning the guitar. And I'm so overwhelmed by this. Mind if I ask how long it took you to get this far?
@tobiaswildenmusic7 жыл бұрын
At that point, i was playing for about 2 years. It was overwhelming for me, too. I took it step by step and worked through it with a lot of listening or visually through other videos. I can only recommend gradually learning with songs you enjoy and connect with, from strumming and rhythm to finger coordination and picking. There are tabs for Nick's songs on nickdraketabs.co.uk and by now there should be quite a few tutorials here on KZbin if you want to attempt it right away.

Tobias Wilden : Ty! Just amazing! You played my favorite song of his so wonderful! Im waiting for someone to do a gritty house remix of this before the things behind the sun, who won the earth show up in the pink moon to take their ignorant right without saying thanks to the parasite. Much love!
