Wow, this was quite a while ago, but, I must say Tobias, you did this song brilliantly. You caught the essence of Nick Drake in your performance. I always get a sense of peace listening to his songs. I feel a connection with him. In his poetic lyrics and in the personal battles he fought, and, unfortunately lost to. RIP Nick.

Thank you for listening! I appreciate it. I learned it this way quite a while ago with the only possible description of the tuning I had access to and I still enjoy it. I also learned a few others of Nicks songs in BEBEBE, so it was the most practical approach for me to stick with it. Every chord and tone fits for me in this case, the progressions simply make sense. It settled in and "hit the spot" right away and personally I can't think of any other way to play it.

After a long long day yesterday,first Trump thing,then a long long recording session putting down rock n roll lead guitar and vocals for 8 hours under pressure because the drummer can’t play to a click…. @rlouie I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for stopping by. I use a single Zoom H2 to record Audio through Garageband on a Macbook. It's all filmed with a Pentax K7. Both tracks are being synchronised in Sony Vegas on Windows. Audio and Video editing is done respectively in Garageband and Vegas. I mostly rely on the final video/HD rendering. I don't have a special process for the sound itself, just volume adjustments and mixing the high and low mids as well as the treble.

This is an excellent interpretation of this song. You don't have to copy the original always. It is a complement to the artist. A good song lends itself to many interpretations. Again your Nick Drake pieces are wonderful.

Got to agree with you 100% there. This is a fabulous cover, and I prefer it to the original, which was clouded by the additional instrumentation which it didn't need, and which detracted from Nick's performance. This version is excellent all round :)
