Hey man, i really do enjoy the type of videos you make. The chill feeling and deeper meaning you bring out of shows, all while keeping it nice and calm. Thats something i cant find with any other creator on the platform. I would really like to see you talk about Saitama in One Punch Man. He a simple designd characters but him as a person, is actually very interesting and something i could talk about for hours. I think you would find him pretty interesting too

Most stories I dislike on having an invading species that only target humans or majority just them ignoring literally everything else. Parasyte really goes into how mc and the parasites grow more human or animal in the story and human weapons actually working because of course they would. Most enemy species are just immune to bullets and diseases which makes them less interesting not tackling them too.

Probably try gundam next. Specifically gundam 00 ibo and seed. Many go into how humans can truly be. It really tears off the shoune tropes and throws them into the trash where they belong as gundam doesn't care if you are the good guy or not. Everyone is not safe Only character I didn't like much for narrative reasons was the politician who sided with parasites while still being human. I feel we needed more like how he met the group and maybe his true reason to hate humanity and see it as a plague. His little speech doesn't do much to characterize him just feels like a wall that won't listen to reason and that could work if they got radicalized to that extent through the story developments. Plus him being offed didn't change much after anyways as he wasn't the main problem. Even kana and her guy friend had importance to shinichi and the school dealing with the threats was cool to watch how they planned around the parasites

I'm vaguely familar with a couple of the Gundam iterations (I think Gundam Wing and Iron blood) Definitely a series I've always been curious about, so thanks for recommendation. And I agree about the Mayor characrer. There was definitely something interesting there but the show didn't really explore it enough to matter to me either. I hated Kana while she was alive because of how stupid she was, but I can definitely agree that her character played important role in Sinichi's development. Great comment as always!

I remember reading the Parasyte manga, and early in volume 1, the author answers a question on whether or not humans will consume the earth, and he also responded that the best we can do is look after those close to us, ending with the message: “Humanity will not be saved by statistics, but by the warmth of individuals.” I know you said by the end that you’re not sure if the show’s poignant message was meant to be positive or negative, and that’s totally fine. But I’d like to believe it was meant to be a positive one, more often than not at least.

i always like how the parasite alien looks at life from a logical point of view. It's scary, but that's how many animals and parasites are. They don't care for the lives of others or feel love. Just purely focused on survival and reproduction

Man, i thought Shinji was a wimp too until I watched Evangelion. Come on man. The dude is going through puberty, his dad neglects/doesn't like him, and he's kind of forced to take military orders and fight monsters that leave physical and psychological scars. Shinji is one of the most realistic teenagers I have seen in anime.

@chillreview636 to me it's good it is a 8/10. It doesn't completely repeat what the anime did, it respects the material and does its own thing and it gets straight to the point on the first episode when the parasyte spreads in Korea not japan. Only 6 episodes doh
