Usually takes a few run-throughs to learn the level/figure out the basic route and learn the more specific things as I try to TA it. Takes at least an hour once I start trying, usually more.

Well, there aren't emulators for one, but you can TA segments of the game, and then just put together those segments into one run.

They don't have to make some completely new take on Sonic. They could just analyze why the classics were so good, and emulate them in 3D.
