For many years, The Blues Brothers and This is Spinal Tarp were my two favorite films. When watching the Blue Brothers, try to get the original edit, not the longer Dan Ackroyd edit. His edit does have longer musical cuts which are of interest to those of us who love the music in the film, but it destroys the pacing of the film. Also there are cut scenes restored in that edit which "explain" things about the stuff Elwood is carrying around in his inside jacket pockets including the spray glue, and explain things about the magic properties of the car, and it turns out those things are much better off left not explained. Mystery is often good in a fantasy story.

Damn Jimmy, if you'd just stuck to that under 5 lines. My guy is trying to rewrite the script.
