If you can honestly say that you would vote for an MVP solely on offense and nothing else, then let’s just have hitters only play offense and fielders just play defense? @@dimitricalimopulos3842 bro a single players Offensive output is more valuable than defensive most always. Ohtani had 21 more Home runs, 41 more RBIs, and 192 more points in OPS. And 5 more BSr (base running runs). As much as you want to argue about the defense, Ohtani was a more valuable player this season and it’s not debatable.

Lindor is the NL MVP...... unfortunately for the history of this game......only offense means anything now. Ohtani shouldn't even be considered for MVP when all he does is grab a bat and run bases. There was a time when the greatest baseball minds wouldn't think to give Ohtani their top vote. Is an extra 15 home runs and stolen bases more important than playing solid defense at shortstop every day of the season????

Dude an extra 15 home runs like that’s just some small thing 😭😭😭 all those steals score runs. That’s what win games. Ohtani carried the team with the BEST RECORD in the league. You will talk about the roster with him. Most all of the stars were out the majority of the year and Ohtani carried them. Nothing Lindor has done in the playoffs goes toward the MVP award. But let’s not act like he’s been a slouch in the playoffs either. Clown.
