I hate how people don't like the way Parelli teaches. He's so kind to a horse and actually has respect for horses.

What don't people like about understanding and kindness? Prefer those methods of Pat and Warwick Schiller, consistent with way I was taught! Respect!!

I can do that when my horse is alone in the corral, but if he's with other horses he won't focuse on me. He doesn't run away or anything, but he's not really interested in spending time with me either. So if I want him to focus on me, I really have to get in the corral, put the halter on, get him out of there and then do all these other stuffs to make him comfortable around me. Any tips?

I had my horse attention from the moment I met her, which she choose me, and I said yes, I'll take her. Took me a few days to think about it, but after seeing the mare and knowing she won't be so short I decided to get her and take a chance, after she came straight to me when there were 2 other people there, one with treats, she choose to come up to me. She is almost 15 hands tall, 3.5 yrs old. I have no problems getting my horse to follow me. I go into the field and as soon as I am a good distance away she runs up to me, wants to play with me, and way to close to scare the lights out of me, lol.

I can walk up to any of my horses like that. It's no big deal. Just spend time with your horses when they are at liberty. Hang out in the pasture with him. I guarantee you will see a change for the better with your relationship with your horse.

He has Cash because she was such a problem for the previous owner. The guy literally would only take cash for the sale. It’s amazing how damaging people can be on animals even in the high-stakes, performance worlds.

Wish my horse would stand like that and let me walk upto him :/ He see's me, walking forward then stands for a bit then goes weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and runs away :L I don't know what I've done wrong, I mean I couldn't possibly be in his bubble because he's about 10 -15 metres away? I notice that if I ignore him he will circle around and creep up behind me but when I turn around to stroke him he runs off again :/

Im fed up, my horse spooks on the ground turns out I am doing what I do all wrong, I calm him by rubbing his neck and talking calmly to him apparently I just rewarded his spooky behaviour....flippin' nora i am getting fed up with not knowing what he requires when he goes all weird blowing his nostrels and being scared. :-(

Good grief. He's almost too soft and you say he abuses horses? Can I look you up? Will I find you're an acomplished trainer that fixes problem horses with carrots and kisses on the cheek?

Exactly- old French saying- want a job half done -get one boy. Not done at all- get two boys. Breaking up horse buddies is part of training. There is a reason they live in box stalls not in a herd if you have any plans for them

Mine live in a herd and get offended if they don't get individual attention away from the herd. Parelli has an awesome relationship building program 👏 😀

Dara O'Grady dignity is respect, not hair. You could shave a horses main off and they wouldn't care. Might not like the Clippers but looks don't care to a horse.
