They have a herd hierarchy, if some horse started picking on an older and weaker horse, that horse won't get to eat for a while unless he is the biggest baddest horse in the field. It's lost on all of you that you can't use violence to stop a bully... they thrive off of chaos because their own mind is chaotic. The only thing you can do to effectively stop bullying, is to teach him empathy. Educate the boy on what cancer is, how it affects people, make him earn money from doing chores, and donate that money to the child with cancers medical bills or to buy the kid things. I get you think bullying a kid with cancer is perfectly okay - he was bullying the other kid because he had no hair and kept going and going and going, and he kept not caring so the only thing that would get him to see what he was doing was wrong, was to basically give him a taste of his own medicine. This wasn’t a “he bullied once and this is his punishment” thing. This was after a very long time. Hair grows. His hair will come back. The kid with the cancer might not ever grow back. You can’t defend bullying if you did not see the original post and judge someone when you don’t know all the information. This kid literally made another kids life even more miserable!! If you really think someone who has cancer and is going through chemo can also live with someone who is bullying him then I’m sorry you are not a nice person. This kid was told to stop. This kid didn’t care and he continued to bully him because he had no hair. He didn’t stop. So he got a taste of his own medicine and had his hair cut off once to know how the kid he bullied feels. His hair will grow back. The kid with cancer? He may never have hair again. Stop defending bullying.

I never once said being a bully was OK or that the child didn't deserve a consequence. If you watch my video and read the comments I've written, you'll see my only issue is the way the boy is being punished, which will not fix the issue...

@theindomitableblackman4 ай бұрын
@katiehiggins68 Ma'am, what YOU took from what I said doesn't make me shallow. It just shows that your comprehension could be lacking. It's ok, though. Most adults have a 6th to 7th grade comprehension level. We have interventions for that.To your point, I'm not defending him. I'm focused on a long-term, sustainable solution. The boy is being bullied by his dad, who went out of his way to record him being humiliated and posted it online. That is bullying. That would imply that this boy's bullying behavior is a learned behavior. To correct it, first, the dad would have to not be a bully. Second, if it were me, I'd take him to an oncologist so they could explain cancer and cancer treatment to him. Then, take him to speak with survivors or those undergoing treatment. Then, I would make him do chores to earn money, and that money would go to that child's medical bills. This gives a consequence as well as builds compassion. Yall are hell-bent on punishing a child instead of teaching a child. If I had a brain tumor and I complained about headaches, you're not gonna give me Tylenol. You're going to get rid of the tumor, which is causing the headache. In much the same way, as a teacher AND a behavior technician, I deal with the root that causes the behavior to either change or extinguish said behavior.

@@theindomitableblackman can you please stop trying to slip away from the conversation? He made fun of a kid with cancer. And paid the price! Please stay on what he actually did instead of slipping away and saying stuff that hasn’t happened, i want to talk about the subject, not any other, this subject. And yeah, kids are repulsive, but they all get their punishment! And like I said, THIS ISN’T CAUSING TRUMA!!! This is teaching a lesson, And are you so sure he’ll do it again? maybe He’ll actually think before doing it. You didn’t listen to anything I said. That is very clear.

@_Everywhere_everything_ trauma is any stress inducing situation. My friend, human behavior and childcare is my field of study and area of expertise. I work with kids worse than this and changed their behaviors without hitting, yelling or causing any form of harm. You're getting to justify abuse to end abuse which doesn't actually work in the long term. Get your healing before you come talking about things you know very little about.

You! Are not a child… although! You all tend to act like that sometimes. Sometimes a child don’t wanna take a bath, brush their teeth, do their schoolwork… does that mean we should not intervene! My husband is a barber.. he has plenty of these kids… they are just fine when they leave his chair. Walking off happy with an ice cream cone. They forgot all about it. Shutup lol

If you have no clue why they did what the did is your issue. This child shamed another child who have cancer is the biggest issue. Dad may not have recorded this but someone else may have for their personal enjoyment or likes. This dad saw that his son loved his hair more than respecting those that are unable to defend themselves. This dad did the right thing because I'm sure they had this conversation before this extreme decision had to be made. The child is merely crying while lying about his behavior and why this is happening. I guarantee you this child will never bully any NE again! Great job dad and the guy talking please hush and raise your own child how you see fit!

@@heavonliisoul so behavior is behavior. It doesn't matter who the victim is. If you want to end the behavior, this isn't gonna do it. He's going to do it again to someone else and do it in a way to not get caught because the root issue wasn't addressed. And as I said on other comments on here, the dad is also a bully and is modeling bullying behavior

🗣️I’m pretty sure he won’t be bullying no one again as long as he’s living under his father’s roof. That’s what you call a mental wake up call when you hold a child responsible for his actions, and not let them get away with it. Great job Dad!!😠

@masonn111 can you think of anther way to teach him the same lesson without cutting their hair, yelling, shaming, or hitting?
@masonn1114 ай бұрын
@@theindomitableblackman NOPE!! That's why children are so out of control nowadays because of discipline tactics that parents do not do. Another reason why our boys are so soft especially since spanking your child has been taken away. Like the Bible states " SPARE THE ROD AND YOU SPOIL THE CHILD." Also, boys that age should not be throwing a tantrum...that shows discipline has been spared in that household, so maybe that explains his bullying~~Just my opinion!🤔

@masonn111 As a former Bible teacher, biblical Hebrew scholar... the Bible doesn't say that. That's from a poem called Hudibras... which was written in the 16th century and it's about marriage. The scripture you're thinking of is in Proverbs 13:24. He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him diligently. The rod is a shepherds rod that wasn't used to hit, but to poke and guide and to pull the sheep to safety. And discipline in Hebrew literally means instruction. In other words, guide your kids, not hit them... Furthermore, Kids are out of control today because parents are usually very authoritarian until their kids stop responding to their aggression, the parents give up and become permissive. Not knowing the way you have to raise your children is by literally teaching them and getting them to think critically about their actions... but clearly since half of yall are having a hard time with that, based on the comments in this KZbin video, I can understand why others can't do it... smh. Discipline isn't the problem in this house. It's ineffective discipline. You can't bully your child into not bullying. He'll only model what he sees.

What I said is in the Bible, it's just not word for word...same meaning just elaborated. You show love to a child (that goes without saying) and with the combination of love and discipline I feel you won't have as many problems with that child. I received one spanking in my life along with love from my Mother and Father and never ever received another. The Bible holds true to the word.
@theindomitableblackman4 ай бұрын
@masonn111 ... no... no it's not, friend. It's from a poem written in the 16th century... they're not even related in context. Also... Proverbs is a book of poetry... it includes exaggerative language. For instance, it says an immoral woman's words are sweeter than honey and smoother than oil but her feet go to sheol. It's not meant to be taken literally. The scripture you're referencing is referring to instruction. The very word for Rod, shevet, is used in psalms 23. That same rod comforts. In reference to a shepherd, as it's used, it's talking about a staff used to poke sheep and guide them or pull them from dangerous position. A shepherd wouldn't hit a sheep. The sheep wouldn't even really feel it anyway. Please read scripture with a historical and literary context. Each book of the Bible is to be read on a certain way due to different authors using different literary devices and in different historical time periods.

Cutting off the vanity off the child, cause he was bullying another child's hair loss due to cancer. It has nothing to do with heritage or identity, but everything to do with his hair, locs or whatever getting to his head and causing another person more trauma on top of trauma.

Dads have their own way of giving Life lessons.. And his way may not be cool but doesn't kill the kid's humanity or confidence. precious locs vs bullying isn't a fair trade.. To him it's a big deal but to life it's just a memory. Like this vid .. it will be just another clip ❤.
