Hi mam I have told about my son already he is 3.9 years old. He has many words he can request his needs . He can talk wat he wants and answer yes no questions he has improved a lot he is academically good . Only problem is he is less responding to name and social not good . He won’t respond to anyone . He needs lots of prompts to respond. My ABA therapy suggested center based therapy instead of home therapy session because he is doing good at home he is struggling in social situations. But I am worried if he will adapt any behavior from other kids like self injury behavior or hitting . Can a autism kid get behavioral issues from copying . Because now my son has only verbal stimms otherwise he is very well behaved kid. Wat do u suggest ? Home therapy or center based therapy .

Both are good. I can't really recommend one specific type of therapy without assessing and knowing the child, sorry.

I have 4 year son , started speaking late , OT session ongoing for 2 months , speech is there but I am facing issue with many sentences repetition whole day , something he watched on TV ( Niki , do you like this ??) or some he learned from teacher ( Jan -Dec) or some sentences that his speech teacher told him ..like time to go home ...let's go home ..he randomly start saying any of such thing .. his understanding, emotions are clear but he sometimes gets lots and only want to say anything random.. Please help me

Hi pallavi. I don't know if i understand ur question. Sorry. But yes if he is not speaking, pls give speech therapy. Behaviour Therapy is not needed. OT will help too. He will improve if u go regularly and practice the activities at home too.

Speech and language is difficult for all autistic kids, but the amount of difficulty varies. So sometimes it is difficult for children to co-ordinate the fine Motor control of their oral structures to talk (dyspraxia) even if they WANT to talk. Pls talk to a speech therapist and work on giving him an AAC as an expressive language option. Simultaneously work on language Understanding too. The goal is expressing his thoughts even if not through speech, it could be through text.

@@prachisinha2155 teachers will give only consolidated portions I will teach him at home They will send the copies of answer to home And at school other than teacher a helping Aunty is there with him to make him sit He is restless can’t sit for a long time But now in school they said sitting tolerance has increased If I put comprehensive questions he will answer by pointing And he will type too Not fully independent Almost, a touch is necessary
