My guess is they were together for the selkirk partnership but Parenteau wanted a partner that can make deep runs in mixed.

Sock is not going for the wild, massive forehands nearly as much anymore. No longer trying to win by playing the disruptor role. He is starting to look like a pickleball player, like he is trying to find the discipline of high percentage shots and developing the point.
