Yessssss!! DR. BECKY! I needed this today as a tired mom of 3. It's a tough dynamic in a household of 5 .

Hang in there. I have 7 and 5 year old boys and am self employed and work long hours. Dr. Becky’s recent childhood trauma is parenting podcast episode changed how I view parenting. Break the cycle and do a better job than your parents did with you. How we parent comes from our childhood.

I am a mental health therapist, not a mom yet, but my husband and I love Dr. Becky's approach. I am reading The Good Inside, and every adult needs to read this. thank you for having her in your show.

I literally came to KZbin after listening to the pod just to see Dr. Becky's face at 9:15 to the "just treat it like a dog, they don't know when you're gone" analogy 🤣 as a pediatric therapist I quote Dr. Becky on the daily. Loved this episode!

As a teacher, if you could see what iPads have done to kids and their behavior/attention span you would never use one again. This is also coming from a mom of toddlers, so I know how hard it is.

Better late than never. Dr. Becky’s recent episode of how our childhoods shape how we parent changed my approach as a dad. We all need to heal and deal with our childhoods in order to become good parents

So many adults are gonna be needing iPads when they’re older at restaurants and not gonna be able to enjoy a simple meal with families because parents won’t stop giving their kids tablets and stuff. I 10000% agree that this is a habit that parents are forming in their children that will have long term effects and it’s definitely selfish. Don’t even get my started on how hard teachers and school aids will have it long term either. Like it isn’t hard enough already.

I’d prefer my pilot doesn’t say it’s ok to scream lol

I'm perfectly fine with Pilot 1, but then again I was in the military for 8 years. Actually, this is really my problem I think.
