The soft woof, also known as "bouf" is actually a pretty easy sound for a human to make. Although it's not good enough to be used in a game like this, it's still a pretty neat sound to learn how to do. You just need to make an "ouf" or "rouf" sound. It should come from the chest and it shouldn't be too airy or else it won't sound right. It also needs to be rough. If you don't make the sound rough, it won't sound like a dog/wolf. It just sounds like a human saying "ruff". But once you get the basic sound right all it takes is some practice and it can sound pretty realistic. It can make your throat pretty sore if you do it too many times though

That's amazing how you've placed it. Now players can ask their mate to follow or stay behind to watch the pups. Unless of course like in the video if your mate has a social personality then they'll come with you. As we all know in the old game, wherever you went, your mate would automatically follow you. But with the new woof effect, it'll make it easier for the players to do something they want to do by themselves. The game is coming together nicely and beautifully, and I know players (such as myself) will have a fun time and gaming experience when Slough Creek releases. Keep it up WolfQuest Team, and of course stay safe and stay healthy!

Gotta say, the extra communication is probably a good feature to have. Even with great AI, mistakes or frustrating events could still occur, so it's nice to have a backup. Although, I like the idea that your mate and pups may not always immediately follow your instructions depending on their personalities or what they're doing, definitely adds an extra flair of realism and immersion.

your woof is fine, sufficiently convincing. so psyched for a new highlight on the anticipated slough creek episode. my wolf has been thoroughly exploring amethyst mountain with his mate and is now tracking migrating elk herd during the winter season in my game, really can't wait to be able to raise pups of his own so he can hunt for them and then with them once they grow up!

Not gonna lie, but when you were barking, or woofing, I woofed along ;D I really love the idea of having your wolf bark, to warn the pups to go back to the den, as that reminds me of parents in the real world, yelling for their kids to get back into the house when they need them to. Your progress on Slough Creek never fails to excite me! Keep up the amazing work, as always!

I got a fantastic idea that could maybe be added in at a later date, maybe if your at the den and your pups get hungry you could listen for your mates howl when /if they decide it may be a good time to hunt, a howl back could be an "ok I'm coming" it may give the game more reason to play it with headphones and feel like your mate has more control

Hey WQ team, the games looking incredible! We all very much so appreciate all the hard work youve put into this wonderful game! We all cannot wait for the final product! As for the sounds, Keyushs channel is a good one to look at. He usually does a lot of soft vocals. If you really are desperate for one and dont like his, just look up people having conversations with huskies. You could also look at other dog channels and maybe tone the audio of the dog down? Sherpa, (Keyushs best friend) has a lot of little woofs... and long woofs.. soft and really really loud. Usually really loud. Sherpa is not afraid to speak his mind. If still no luck and you have to resort to human vocals, next time cup your hands around your mouth and leave a small opening. Remember wolves have muzzles and we need to use our hands to get the sounds they get! Hopefully you can find what youre looking for, but either sound or way you get the soft woof, you know we'll be behind you 100%. Good luck and have an amazing day!

I feel like it would be so cool if the pups had like different reaction to different sounds you make like if you growl aggressively the pups will look at you immediately to see what’s wrong and if you do a bark they will see what’s happening but not be so worried that would be pretty cool you guys are doing such a good job!!!!

You should add a size scale to the wolf customization so that players can choose the size of their wolf. I think that would make customization alot more fun and it adds more of a real feeling since not all wolves are the same size in real life

I have no parenting tools. I used to choose a favorite pup, and take all the other ones as far as possible from the den. And if the other pups managed to survive that every day, plus leaving them to fend for themselves against predators,not raising the pack meter and feeding them last, I would allow them to be considered a true member of the pack. Then Iwould raise the meter and protect them.Kinda like Sparta haha.

In the game, when in multiplayer, players are not able to sit and do emotes, or wag their tails when laying down, It'd be a really neat idea to add that like you and your team did with the howling when laying down or curling up

One of the whine sounds (the sharp and loud one we heard the first time you used the whine emote) sounds more like a cry of pain than “pls give me attention”. I believe it’s one of the old pain sounds from previous versions? Would it be possible to take that one out and make it it’s own emote/sound? Could be useful for RP. Or just take it out of the get attention whine emote. It doesn’t fit with the other two sounds in that emote.
