wait the locking in the room part was the only emotional abuse right cuz every single thing he said was something my parents would say to me when i was younger. ngl it was always a one sided conversation cuz i knew if i responded genuinely to the questions i’d get yelled at even more. it was always something along the lines of “Why are you like this?” “I’m sorry…” “‘Sorry’ isn’t an answer.” “I-I don’t know.” “You always say that! You don’t know anything!” and i always ended up just hiding under a table and crying afterwards like the crying child at his birthday party

They did that to me or just yelled at me to the point where my ears ringed all the time or whooped me they don't whoop me anymore but I developed social anxiety and anxiety in general and now I have low self esteem and they don't even know its because of them and they always tell people my past mistakes and bring them up...I'm uncomfortable with that also them scaring me by saying "if you don't hold my hand you will get kidnapped bla bla bla" they also use my dead name at HOME and misgender me AT HOME n act like its okay

god why is this relatable. I won't get into it because this isn't about me, and I won't make it that way, but Jesus someone call cps on William pls- someone get that poor child out of there- damn now that I think about it, cc has gotten so used to William's treatment, that he won't speak up about the gaslighting, verbal abuse, and the physical abuse done to him. he even thinks that William's treatment is normal. THAT isn't normal, or okay at all. everyone in the Afton family needs therapy. but specifically, cc in this au, he seems to be the most traumatized out of everyone. he seems very timid and fragile, mentally and physically as well. god I'm writing a paragraph but I just wanna say this. this is very realistic, especially how manipulative William is, but we can see through his hollow lies, but from cc's perspective, it's all his fault, and nobody loves him for being him. he's doubting and questioning his own sanity, bottling up his emotions, thinking he's not good enough, that he'll never be good enough. if you are in a situation like this, I suggest you get some help, like going to therapy, destressing, and etc. but like I just wanna adopt this child, and give him love- he deserves way better. he may be a fictional character, but he represents something real. I love stuff like this, they have so much dimension and they get a place in my heart just for how well they executed this, I have some harsh words for the people like William, but this is done so well- keep going king/queen/prince/princess/any other royal name for you-
