Threatening to remove a concerned parent from a meeting about how accused teachers were allowed to continue teaching …everyone is innocent until proven guilty but the school also has to protect the children and removing the teacher/teachers in question should have been done immediately..especially since multiple kids were accusing the teacher over a 2 year period …the school doesn’t want to be held accountable…they would rather it go away that to take accountability when really the only issue is that they kept the teachers ..hiring a teacher that decided to molest kids or manipulate older kids into some type of inappropriate relationship isn’t the fault of the school the..it’s impossible to “know” if someone is a pedophile ..we all think we would know but it that we’re the case it wouldn’t be such an issue. Shame over sexual misconduct keeps it hidden which causes it to grow and grow and grow and remain mostly hidden…I know the Bible says not to speak of such things but it doesn’t mean to ignore such things …speak of it to shine light on it and I’m sure it can’t be ended but it shouldn’t be something that is happening all the time all over and hidden …the victim has a right to remain hidden and I feel awful for anyone wrongfully accused but there needs to be classes taught to children because not all parents feel comfortable speaking to there children about pedophilia ..they think is scares them or that a child shouldn’t hear of anything sexual in nature but that leaves the child unprepared completely…and the sex offenders goal is always to catch their victim of guard because when caught of guard and any unwanted sexual advance already causes a person to feel uncomfortable:caught of guard but it almost guarantees that they aren’t going to know how to respond which makes them feel responsible/guilty/ashamed which makes them embarrassed to tell anyone but when kids have been taught not once but many times they are more likely to react or to tell…they don’t believe the lies “tell and nobody will believe you” People are more likely to believe what they hear first ..if a parent has already warned them they are more likely to believe that…and older kids sometimes do develop crushes on teachers and the teacher/adult acting on in it is inexcusable…that school board should be embarrassed for threatening to throw a parent out of a meeting concerning her child/children…. It’s sad to me how many safe spaces aren’t safe at all…preparing your child for thr world we live in isn’t stealing their innocence or childhoods it helps prevent it from being stolen by perverted adults who get off on defiling innocence….i wonder how many cases go unreported…I have a feeling the number would be astounding and depressing. If a teacher has been convicted of a crime, then they need to be removed and possibly put in prison. But if they’ve only been accused of the crime, they need to be removed from their position and continue to be paid until the issue is resolved. But maybe, just maybe, it’s an institutional problem. Maybe the idea of sending your kids to spend a lot of time with strange adults who you don’t really knowis just not such a great idea in the first place.
