Well, it sounds like Op and ex are both from Seattle and both have big families, and Op has the kind of job where inviting work colleagues is somewhat of a requirement. It is very possible that they invited 400 people as regular Americans (meaning not a traditional Indian wedding, where 400 guests would be on the small side, lol).

Why block their numbers? Why not get a new number? Especially as the can use different numbers to still contact you. But if they don't know you're new number they can't contact you. Also why answer their calls. Even if it was an unknown number as soon as they start speaking & you realise who it is...just hang up. If you truly want to cut ties then do so.
