This is the first time a dwarf was featured. In a way I’m flattered because I’m a dwarf myself. I’m only offended because the M word was used. It might have been appropriate a hundred years ago, but not in this day and age.
@gemini20121003 жыл бұрын
I don't think the "m-word" was used to be disrespectful toward dwarfs. (I don't even like to use the word "dwarf", but since you used it, I guess it's okay. Just know I don't mean any offense). I think the "m-word" was just used to show just how despicable the character was. Like if the character was black, he might have used the "n-word". But I do see what you're saying and I would never use that word because it is derogatory.
@beckykennedy68863 жыл бұрын
@@gemini2012100 well dwarves are also called “little people.” I personally prefer the term “dwarf” because even though it’s not true, when a person says “you’re a little person” or something like that, I just feel like “Don’t remind me.”

I was married to a prejudiced man and he embarrassed me like this all the time, skin color, nationality or sexual preferences he was right on it with rude, nasty remarks and didn’t care if they heard him.

Darlene, that is not a quality husband and if you've had kids by him I pray he doesn't teach them how to be as prejudiced as he is. I may be Caucasian but I do have respect for every race because each one has their own struggles.

@@steveboone1498 no kids together, but 2 stepsons and 2 of my own. Out of the 4, his one son is exactly like him, the other 3 aren’t prejudiced at all.

@@darlenesmith5524 the son that is like him could be going down a path that could lead to his destruction if he's not careful. I'm glad your other three aren't following in his footsteps, raise them well and hope for a bright future for them.

@@darlenesmith5524 it wouldn't surprise me if they have spouses to go home to. Myself on the other hand has never been married because apparently a lot of haters try to make having an interest sound like a criminal act. I don't mean to come off as complaining but our society needs to stop acting like their college aged daughters are still in middle school just because men who are ten or more years older than them show interest in getting to know them.
