My baby sister was 10 years younger then me, and we all loved her. These "parents" sound like they came from another planet, and the grandparents are OP's real parent. I'd like to believe that this couldn't happen IRL. What responsible adults do is take care of all their children. What responsible adults do is ask their children to do only enough chores to learn responsibility, not treat them like servants.

If you don’t conform and comply as a little child, no soup for you. That was her sin and it showed. Parents not developed properly still lusted at obedience. It was not cast in stone, and there was something either missing or in spades. Law of the universe, definitely not all one way. The jackpot won by sister and parents, they get to dig deep at the new opportunity. OP got her chance to dig deep early on, so there.

Why was the main character written like a complete idiot? Even someone with brain damage could see the parents where using her. This story should have ended after she said no, when they asked for money.
