If it's truly an accident the surgeon would be held liable for negligence and would have to pay out damages to the family. If it was due to recklessness (i.e. the doctor showed up drunk to work) and employed poor decision making the doctor can serve jail time. Either way the cookie crumbles, the doctor tends to be held accountable one way or another

Deserve to die and acting to create a situation where you do die are different things. Wright escalated the situation that lead to his death, despite how absolutely wrong the officers actions were. Think of it this way. I'm a climber, and I decide to use some older protective equipment. It breaks, and I fall to my death. I didn't deserve to die, but my actions lead to my death. And ultimately, I'm partially to blame for being dead. The same is with Wright.

Daunte Wright broke into a home before the homeowner, who was in the basement, emerged upstairs and chased him out. Wright also had armed robbery charges pending at the time of his death. And a pair of lawsuits filed after his death accuse him of shooting a teen in the head and taking part in a carjacking in which an accomplice allegedly shot a young man through the leg. In the robbery case, Wright allegedly closed one hand around a 20-year-old woman’s throat, choking her, while shoving a gun barrel in her face and demanding cash she had hidden in her bra.

Very terrible, sad unfortunate accident. My brother was killed by a black police officer and choked to death with his nightstick. The news media would not cover the story because it was not sensational enough. His children did not get a settlement for 27 million dollars and the police officer was never reprimanded. My Mother was called to the scene and she asked him to please check his pulse and see if he was breathing, he turned to my Mother and told her to check his pulse if she wanted, he wasn’t going to. She lived with that sorrow in her heart until the day she died.

Ran. Arrested and made 100k bail. Bail condition was he couldn't have a gun. Arrested again for having a gun. Released again. Skipped trial. Warrant sent for his arrest. @@eagleeagle7802 cops are poorly trained. They start shaking and pointing guns at people because they don't immediately hand them their ID and question them briefly. I would say a good half of the US police force is not truly capable of handling their job. I was an EMT in Georgia and there was a really bad car crash that killed a few people. Kids women men and there were a few kids that were still alive. I was the first person who knew what they were doing unseen, and was doing a pretty good job of telling people what to do allocating tasks to different people so and so forth. Then when the on duty ems, police, and firefighters arrived 4 minutes later, there was a girl who I was doing CPR on. Another EMT was crying and not knowing what to do because of the stress. I told her what to do to put the bag valve mask on her, and her head started inflating and deflating. Because of a skull completely cracked in half. That EMT should not be an emt, because they did not know what they were doing because of the stress. I am completely sympathetic to that person. However, certain people cannot handle stress and seriously stressful situations. I guess that is a much more serious situation and I can understand why that EMT was crying and that really knowing what to do. But this situation being completely different of course still illustrates the point that too many unqualified police officers are allowed to stay in police departments just like unqualified teachers are allowed to stay teaching so on so forth. Regardless, if you were to ask me, I tell you flat out, despite me saying that she should go to jail for a long time I still think she did this country a service by accidentally killing him. He was a terrible human being and it was a predator. He was only 20 and he had already committed multiple lifetime prison offenses And they were stupid enough to give him chance after chance after chance and he was not learning. He was going to be a very dangerous person that was going to leave destruction in his path. Wherever he goes there will be destruction.

I don't think she did it on purpose. It possibly was really a mistake in the heat of the moment. Don't know how she made that "mistake", that's really not a confusion one can make. I've shot a similar glock before and I've shot a taser. it's 100% different. But maybe people need to be also taught not to resist arrest. He would still be alive today and the officer wouldn't have needed to make that "mistake". It's always easy to automatically assume if someone is a different skin color than you that their actions are automatically racist. That's the society we live in today, I understand.
