Call me crazy but I actually prefer Pineapple Vintage Intense over Aventus the PVI on me has better performance and I receive an insane amount of compliments from PVI but rarely from Aventus which I know sounds odd because they are similar but that has been my experience

But with aventus or emperor extrait there’s the dry birchy masculineness with this king like victorious pineapple that is more of a king like attitude that ppl would rather appreciate in silence because it’s more empowering and sexy than childish and boring that pvi

your honesty in saying it's close, but not an exact clone is appreciated. I somehow get the idea behind the reason for so many "copies" coming out of so many brands, but it's getting a bit tiresome. I tried a handful of the fragrances that people say smell like Aventus, but no one comes close, tbh. These 3 I haven't tried, I'd be curious to see how they stack up to Aventus, but hey, Aventus is Aventus!

Nice review Gentlemen! I liked the part best where Steven described wearing Aventus for his wedding and honeymoon, so he may be the true expert. A couple weeks ago I sprayed all four (Creed Aventus and the three Pineapple Vintage samples) on paper and skin to compare them side by side with two of my kids. Everyone liked them all! The original Pineapple Vintage sample is a bit more fruity, so it went to the 15 y/o daughter, who loves wearing it. The Pineapple Vintage Noir sample went to my 32 y/o son, and I kept the Pineapple Vintage Intense sample, which seems to me to be the closest to Aventus overall. Came up with the same conclusion as you--the composition is not exact but it doesn't need to be to fully enjoy wearing them. I didn't compare the performance, but will do that sometime in the future by wearing both.

I feel that it is a stand alone fragrance not to be compared to Aventus or anything else. In the past I have gotten Mad crazy compliments on the Noir and Intense versions of this fragrance. I have all 3 versions and keep them all in my rotation. I wear the original as my signature sent. Great review Gentlemen! Keep it up!!

Although I think people should regard each perfumes as an individual composition rather than a clone I think some of these fragrances are actually look like they are trying to mimic or copy some more popular and classic fragrances just like in this case. When we look at the listed notes it would sometimes really be off putting to still claim that they used same exact ingredients (of course they don't copy note to note but they take something out and add something else) and were yet still tried to come up with something else. To me it feels this way at least. Of course there could be cases where they use exact same ingredients but in different proportions so in the end the latter fragrance smells something totally different yet if that was the case people wouldn't be commenting on these fragrances the same way they do now, obviously. Cassis is in both of the earlier versions of this fragrance, however it is not listed as a note in this Intense version (which is actually leaves of a black/dark purple berry native mostly to Mediterranean area, Italy to be more specific). This note is a bit interesting one. It is also included in G. Armani Si, and if it wasn't for cassis this fragrance would probably smell like just as any other generic sweet women's perfume in the opening. The cassis in the opening adds some sort of salty-herbal, almost some sort of Olive-like vibe to the composition of the scent and saves the opening from being overly boring; however in the dry down to me Si becomes yet another vanillic, generic, sweet women's scent. I love the opening just because of the cassis note actually. I'd really like to see this note used in new and different releases in interesting ways. In my opinion it could contribute to the overall feeling of the scent, if used wisely. Thank you guys for doing yet another great review. I always look forward to see your next reviews. First, thanks for the review guys. Second, in my opinion I think clones are just meant to be close alternatives to the original. I appreciate companies that cater to the majority of frag heads who maybe cannot afford expensive frags, like on this case "Aventus". I own various copies of Aventus and each accomplishes its job for the particular occasion I use it for, gym, work, etc...again thanks guys!!!

The intense is really a hit for me. I wear the aventus couples time and always think there is something missing. The freshness of the intense fill that gap for me. I really enjoy the bolder and the quality of the scent. btw. they are on sale at the moment.

Nice video guys. I like that you admit that someone can utilize similar ingredients without having to be a clone. I have found that I really like the pineapple note in a few fragrances and it seems to turn into a discussion about how someone is trying to copy Aventus because of that note.

I just received my PVI bottle today along with X-batch and Rush of Unicorns and very excited to smell it. I noticed PVI has a rotten pineapple smell in the opening which goes away after 5 minutes or so. I have not seen anybody mentioned this from reviewers on youtube. I went to Basenotes site and it seems like other people have had the same complaints. The x-batch and Rush of Unicorns are okay.

Gentlemen! A wonderful review about a range I've also seen mentioned quite a bit, but never had the chance to smell. I love most of all the dynamic between you two, your styles are so different but also complimentary so it's a great match. I tried a sample of this and it performs about the same as the other ones.I did get the most compliements with this one. But I still prefer Pineapple Vintage classic over the rest because of the tart pineapple note and how long lasting it is. My only gripe with the company is the price is too steep. The price needs to be more competitive.Like around 50-60 bucks.

I always get a small stroke when I hear US only :( Didn't try the intense version but the noir version is really an amazing scent. Smells close to Aventus but still different and the noirness gives a really good touch to it.

I have tried this one and the other 2 that this company has released which are Pineapple Vintage and Pineapple Vintage Noir and I think Pineapple Vintage Intense is a good alternative to Aventus by Creed but in my honest opinion I prefer Club De Nuit Intense Man over this one. CDNIM has a better projection and longevity and it costs less that this one , CDNIM $30 + shipping and this one is $85 + shipping . I also had my mom and my girlfriend tried this one and they both prefer CDNIM over this one .

I think this Pineapple Surprise smells something like batch 11z01, a little like 12e01, but very much like 13w01 but without the smokiness. Just kidding. Great video and I would love to try this Pineapple Vintage since I do like Aventus.
