This is a lovely film I was not expecting it. I live in UK and homesexuality only came out in the open in the 1980s. and now its 2020 and we have made progress in accepting Gay relationships and today its open and in every day society. Hopefully India will also get there soon.

This is one of the best short stories I've seen till date. Yeah, there are a lot things wrong with the society....specially a conservative one like ours. Homosexuality got recognised just recently....but there are tons of things that are still left in the darkness. Dunno why, but Gaurav here reminds me of Alan Turing. Both were gay, and committed suicide due to almost similar reasons. Although it was much more intolerable in case of Turing.

"Be the change you want to see in the world". Hope in any era is next generation. Hence, we have to set such examples which the next generation follows or at least is easy for them to choose n follow. If we shy away today, others may hesitate too. N why should I bother about naysayers, to hell with what people think or bitch about. Gaurav and Pari were doing an act together, where Pari falls in love with the guy. She is so in awe of him that she hides in his changing room and gets to know that Gaurav is gay. Even in the play, she goes like ' I am a girl', which clearly means that she wants to be loved as a girl from Gaurav. Years later, when she finds out Gaurav has committed suicide, she goes to his place to see his whereabouts and figures out it was his Mom who forcefully had the guy marry a girl, which spoiled his life and thus suicide.

In India it will take time for people to accept it socially. But if you will play victim, people will take advantage of you. Be safe, strong, be independent, n don't wait for life to happen, create it the way you want it to be. If not in the present place, choose another. World is vast. Leave the comfort zone n dare. No harm in living in a peaceful environment even if it means moving to another place. The significant point is to first get financially independent, live independently if family isn't supporting, later the person can decide where to settle. If one gay couple or family of couple begin to celebrate the marriage/wedding, social acceptance will begin.
