प्रकाश झा के निर्देशन में बहुत मर्म स्पर्शी कहानी है। ये राजस्थान कथानक पर फिल्माई गई है लेकिन राजस्थानी बोलचाल भाषा नदारद है। जिस कालखंड पर और जब फिल्म बनाई गई थी उस दौर में ही नहीं आज भी जो समर्पण ईमानदारी मानवता और सेवा भाव जितना राजस्थानियों में है उतना आपको पूरे विश्व और इस देश में कहीं नहीं मिलेगा। राजस्थान के बीकानेर जिले में श्री डूंगरगढ़ में फिल्माई गई कहानी पूर्ण रूप से काल्पनिक है लेकिन एक बहुत अच्छा संदेश देती है।
