Hi Esther , its wonderful to hear your beautifully accented voice again, I cant wait for the Olympics, I think the opening ceremony will be fantastic. Ive heard some Frenchies complain about the interuptions, but I just try to re assure them that the rest of the world really appreciates everything you guys are doing at the moment.

I agree, there are several interruptions here and the cost of living increasing for us locals but I am also excited for the Olympics just to enjoy the entire vibe. @@febydwihani4080 Unfortunately tourists can't attend the Opening ceremony for free. You'll either need to have a paid ticked or be invited and the invitations will be given to locals by their respective town halls.

Thank you for such a wonderful video! What are the two passes you mentioned at the end that will not be for sale during the Olympics? What’s the difference between those passes and the ones that will be for sale? Again, thank you for all this helpful info!

You're welcome! I am happy to hear the video was helpful. The passes I mentioned are *Navigo Découverte Travel Card* which is a weekly transportation pass that can be used on the metro, bus, and RER. And the other one is the *Navigo One day Pass* . It's also a transportation pass but only for one day. Since the transportation prices during the Olympics will be high, it didn't make sense to keep these 2 passes available because they're essentially much cheaper than the newly introduced Paris 2024 Pass (the transportation pass strictly introduced for the Olympics). And the only difference really is that the one that will be for sale is much more expensive and it instantly covers the entire Paris region and the airports without the hustle of figuring out Paris's different transportation zones (since you have to do that with the other 2 passes). I hope this clarifies it 😍

During my Paris trip in August I am staying in a hotel in Zone 4 so the Paris 2024 Pass might make sense for me so that I don’t have to worry about getting different types of tickets. It’s not very cheap but it’s cheaper than using a Taxi to go to the city each day.

Hi, the Navigo weekly pass will not be for sale between July 20 until September 8. You can buy the Paris 2024 Pass or single journey tickets (this will be €4 a ticket). This will depend on your itinerary and how many days you you'll spend in Paris, so you'll have to do a bit math to see the best option for you.

I think it will be more difficult than usual because there will be lots of people requesting them as walking time has increased since lots of roads are restricted. Also, if you get one, you may take quite a number of detours because of restrictions. But I think you'll still be able to get one, just plan for delays here and there.
