PARIS 2024 PART 1

Part 1: Our second visit to Paris.
This video sees us travel from Manchester to Charles De Gaulle airport. We were also on the flight with a few of the kids & parents from The Voice Academy who were performing in Disneyland Paris. We decided to catch the train instead of a transfer as it saves so much money, especially due to the Olympics happening at the time. It's really simple. Get the RER B line from the airport and our stop was Notre Dame; the hotel is literally across the street and took around 40 minutes for the whole journey from airport to hotel. We stayed at the Albe Hotel in the Saint Michel area next to Notre Dame. The hotel is in the perfect place, pretty much central and offers a great breakfast. As a top tip, book a deluxe room as this offers a corner room which has a view of the Seine and a balcony. Our first day is a visit to the Arc De Triomphe & The Champs Elysees. We also bought 48 hour tickets for the Batobus - It's like a typical taxi but on the river Seine. There's multiple stops, 9 in total, like the Eiffel Tower, Musee D'orsay, Notre Dame and right back to Alexandra III bridge, bit you can hop on and off where and when you wish at any of the 9 stops. Unfortunately the Batobus stopped at 4:30pm that day due to the Paralympics Opening Ceremony. Luckily we got chance to see the start of it all.
