Amaaazing! I remember watching this the first time it was aired on TV. I was floored! I remember Randy saying "wow" repeatedly, after her Billie Holiday song..I was wishing she could have sang the entire song. Just a lovely girl. So humble and sweet.

It's amazing how humble she is about it too. You often see people with absolutely no talent walk out of there like they got the shaft. Yet, someone as great as Paris acts so surprised that she got through when she blew away the judges.

I loved this girl from the first moment I saw her. Here is this girl with all the connections in the music business. She has a great voice and a phone call could have set her on a career, but she chose to do it on her own. Gotta respect that.

Me too! I was really young when I was watching American Idol during this season, and I cried so much when Paris (and also Mandisa) was voted off because I loved her and was rooting for her. I didn't enjoy watching Idol as much after that because it kind of showed me that the people who are really good and deserve to win are unjustly rejected for petty reasons.

Figures. She’s not the picture of what music is and it’s unfortunate. I remember writing music for a particular record label. I’m not going to call it’s name. However, they were harsh about skin color and appearance. It’s absolutely ridiculous because she’s great.

Officially the best audition I have ever seen for Idol or any talent show for that matter bar none! Her Take 5 is just incredible. I'm so glad they asked her to do that - it was bout 10x better than the 1st song she did. I think they thought she was going to win at this point, and she must have been favourite till they got to the final 20 and others started to emerge (Taylor, Katherine, Chris and Elliott). She is so much better than Chris tho - fo sure.
