Wow, discovering the oldest market in the capital must have been quite an experience! The fact that it was created in 1615 is fascinating and shows how rich the history of Paris is. The variety of cuisine choices available at the market, ranging from Bio and Japanese to Italian and Lebanese food, seems truly impressive. And it's great to hear that the French-style Foodcourt also includes a popular oyster, cheese and wine bar, as well as the famous French sandwich creperie stand. Overall, it sounds like a fantastic place to explore for anyone interested in food and history! I am your new fan.

Oldest market was les halles, wasn’t it? These people are tourists-good for local economy. My father and I-clearly tourists-went in at 0:500 to see the market, and to have onion soup. That was 1964. The world changes.

@@stevenickerson829 Les halles , as a covered market was inaugurated in 1818. Nevertheless, its market spot has existed since the middle age. Btw I bet the onion soups tasted better in the 60's.
