Paris Hilton was among the witnesses to testify before the House Ways and Means Committee during a hearing entitled, "Strengthening Child Welfare and Protecting America’s Children."
The reality TV star described her traumatic experience at youth care facilities. "There's no education in these places, there's mold and blood on the walls," Hilton said.
Hilton pointed at private equity firms for taking greater stake in the industry. She said she left a Utah facility with post-traumatic stress.

There's a reason they want it this way. It's an open "secret" that these "throwaway" kids are frequently used and abused for all sorts of things, including by people you'd typically not suspect. Years ago I came across an interview of a woman who was trafficked through the foster care as a child and young lady. It was so detailed and so traumatizing just to listen to her story. She exposed them ALL. The video doesn't exist anymore and I had a really hard time finding it on some random Google site. YT took it down. In 2001, I was Kidnapped and Gang raped by 8 "Non citizens". At the time I had 2 young children. My Children were taken from me because I was recovering from the Horrific event. I fought tooth and nail for both my children and Los Angeles DCFS lied, lost them in the system, and I was denied the right to ever speak up in Family court to explain what happened.. My children were never given back. My son especially had it the worst, he aged out of Foster care, and neither of them want anything to do with me. It was all avoidable. All of it. Pray for these precious kids in Foster Care.

I worked in a residential facility that housed 8 boys between the age of 8 to 12. It was a caring, supportive environment. In 3 yrs we only had to restrain one kid. He was out of control. So sorry that so many facilities are awful.

My niece worked at a facility for children, she left the job in a short time, she said it was too sad and depressing to see those children in bad condition, and herself was 19, she couldn't handle it.

I worked with Paris Hilton yrs ago on 1 of her TV shows & was her guest at her B'Day party back then & I remember trying to differentiate the public persona back then from the REAL person inside. She was very sweet & I suspected there was much more to her she unfortunately didn't reveal those 16yrs ago. I have 100x more respect for Paris last several yrs after she came out from the shadows revealing her horrible trauma in that boarding school that caused her to put on the fake persona/shield as cover. This all validates what I thought I felt when I was around her back then. I have total admiration for her bringing the spotlight to this type of institutional abuse of children that really hasn't been investigated or made News of since the 1970's when Geraldo Rivera was with TV show 20/20 doing explosive investigations like this.

My niece was housed and received her high school diploma credits from two of these residential program facilities. She became involved in the psychedelic drug use trend so popular with young "adults" (LSD, Exstacy, type drugs). Before anyone could even realize she was dosing herself regularly (with her peers) with mind altering drugs she became "feral". In spite of tremendous expense (these programs are very expensive) she was removed from her familiar surroundings, friends, peer pressures, and placed in first one & then another residential treatment. She is now an adult. From my experience it does not seem that she has recovered from any of the events or "remedies" attempted for her well being. It is an ongoing maturation process. She did claim abuse was occurring in both treatment programs.

I’ve personally lived through this and I’ve seen how false allegations are gratefully received and DHHS immediately begins building a case against the parent instead of doing a proper and thorough investigation. This behavior results in perpetrators walking and the parents parental rights being terminated. Our children are being trafficked through this department because there isn’t any oversight therefore no accountability. Many of the children shouldn’t be in foster care because they have loving parents that do indeed want them. Those that have the power and authority need to stand up and stop this. Generations are being ruined 💬 for the love of money which is the root of all evil.

If you only knew the way some of us do...DCF needs an overall..they would rather just put these kids in Instatutians than work with alternatives...I took my nephew in when His parents died, I only had a one bedroom apt. Even though I gave it to my nephew and slept on the couch they wanted him to be forced back into their institution where kids were rated, beaten and even killed. Most would run away and end up on the streets. He was terrified. 16. Just lost his Mom and dad to death. He oould not attend school or they would pick him up. No degree. I took him to a temp agency when he was 18. Got a laborer job and continued to move up. Taught him how to drive. He is 26 now and very moral and independent, and I m very proud of him❤ I shudder to think how his life would have gone if dcf had their way. Thank you for fighting for children! For profit not for people...overall these money changers just like Jesus did.❤
