Thanks for your nice "tour de France" of these Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Your video describes nicely the atmosphere of this wonderfull time. To precise the olympic flamme cauldron rising up in the air attached to a balloon is an hommage to the first ever human static flight processed by the Mongolfier brothers in 1783 in Versailles by filling up a ballon with warm air from a fire. Thus calling such a balloon a "montgolfière'. Greetings from Paris France.

THE FOOTY TRIP, Hi from South France, 🌴🌞 To understand why the Mona Lisa is so important in pictorial art, you have to know that this painting was a precursor at the time, paving the way for all the painters who would follow and even copy it. The techniques used, the arrangement of the elements composing it, etc., are innovations. To give an example allows us to understand better this particular craze and what makes it the most expensive painting in the world if ever, one day, it was sold. Let's compare it to Notre-Dame de Paris, which is also not the most imposing and complicated cathedral in its architecture. Yet, people come from all over the world to admire it. We even cry hot tears when it starts to burn. It's simply because it is the first. It sets the example for all cathedrals that were built afterward. Peace, folks. ☮👈😎

A lot, of course as we are talking international event : Céline was here. How will it bring back ? A lot. As for infrastuctures, many are made in kit. One olympic swimming pool was built in a one of the poorest area of the great Paris. Clubs like judo, ping-pong and many others are overflowed with phone calls as kids loved it and fancy The Big Medals. To make a long story short, one city Châteauroux has seen its first tourists for decades, by thousands. Businesses there have made an historical hit. So, yes, those things cost. Ignorance costs much more.

French here, and got lot of friends who attended events, there were tickets for 20-24 euros but they sold out real fast. Tickets price was ranging between 25 and 150 depending on sports, category in the stadium, depending if qualifiers or finals. Finals were around 200-400 for some sports. You had also premium tickets 500-1300€ but from general feedback they were way overpriced. People in Paris usually mixed cheap tickets, spent some 150-200 and for the rest enjoyed the fan zones/club de france to celebrate !

The Champions League final debacle was due to British fans showing up at the gate, everyone knows it. Just rewind to the Euro final 2021 to see the same idiotic behavior in London. Happens every time an English club or the national team is in a game. Also, the fact that the Real Madrid side entrances were not as affected confirmed it was 99% the responsibility of British fans. Rest was definitely a few kids from Seine-Saint-Denis coming to take advantage of the chaos.

I wasn't there but I researched a little for making the video and my understanding was that it was badly policed, also that was my memory from the time once all information was made public. I don't disagree about the Euro 21 Final though, that was a bad day for English fans and again, a sheer lack of security. I have travelled many times to watch England and the fans are generally really well behaved.

@@TheFootyTrip French here.. have to say it. Not sure it was english fan fault in the final.. perhaps there was a little bit of it. But it seems the organisation from the government in France for this event was simply laking. After all.. no matter what we think of fans.. the responsability of the event is on France. Not on the fans.

@@alexandregambYes I would agree Alexandre. I think the English fan reputation often precedes them and don't get the best treatment. There is plenty of evidence to suggest it was the organisers fault in this case. I will always give an honest view and accept when England is at fault but in this case my belief is that it was the organisation

@@TheFootyTrip I understand and respect that. Always better to be honest even when things go wrong. Anyway glad you had a good time in Paris. Hope it will be good in USA in 4 years for the next Olympic. Take care.

@@TheFootyTrip It is not my point to trash all English fans, but it is a well-recorded truth that whenever England or an English club is playing there are problems in the city and by the stadium. Again, it is well-recorded. There were about 7,000 policemen between the fan zones and the stadium, much more than for the 2021 Euro final. Again, no such chaos occurred at the Real Madrid entry while it was a giant mess for the Liverpool one, go figure.

Bonjour. Glad your, too, enjoyed it. Unlike many, I thought it will be rather sucessfull as we are talking Jeux Olympiques. I think afterward that it was a bloo.y sucess. I have scarcelly seen my fellow country people so enthusiast. Even the famously rude parisian waiters were smiling and speaking English. Some call it a miracle. Le miracle de Paris. Forever Olympic.

Haha, great news on the Parisian waiters, hopefully everyone can take the positive feelings and keep the Olympic spirit going forward.
