"I wrote it (The Fruits) about the trauma of womanhood and feminine sexual expression. The frequent experience of being nothing more than a shell onto which the fantasies of men can be projected. How trauma teaches us to be sexualized before we are ready - something that men benefit from, as we come to them as a starter pack for their desire. I wrote this song in the knowledge that this is a shared experience by many women, and I wonder if it's something men ever think about. To exist even as a child to cater to, to be plateable for men and have the pre-existing knowledge of how to do it perfectly with trauma as our teacher." Paris Paloma

I absolutely love this message. I don’t necessarily have any trauma of sexualisation (since I’m not very attractive by our society’s standards) but whenever there’s men around, I feel the need to appeal to them. Which makes zero sense because I’m lesbian. I shouldn’t care what they think of me. I’m not even fucking interested in them. But this need is installed in me so deep because of how the patriarchy shapes women, starting when they’re still little girls.

Let me know if you need any inspiration. I might have the story yours can be based off of hahah. I tried acid for the first time with one of my best friends from high-school, (we were in the process of falling in love during) and in a drug induced psychosis I went into the hospital for 2 weeks (we now think it was laced) and a lot of this song hits extremely close to home of some of my delusions at the time. I truly believed we were a representation of Adam of Eve and I was crawling through levels of hell to try and get back to the garden. We are still together

"My love, are you the devil? I would worship you instead of him" I have no time for confession For I'm too busy committing sins My love is something special "I never met someone like you You'd make me fall from heaven" But I know just what I do "Angel", he calls me Does he know that I'm falling From a precipice that I tripped off long ago? "You're so pure", he says Does he know I'm forsaken? The original sinner But soon he'll know For if I'm going down I guess I'll take you with me Naked in that garden Back at the beginning Now in your arms You're faithless, for you pitched me Against your holy father And it seems I am winning But I don't I feel your hands grabbing my throat As you say "My love, are you the devil? I'm not disputing what you said (because it's true and I love it and I am printing it out to pin on my motivation board♡) but Eve had no concept of lies or deceit because falsehoods did not exist in the Garden of Eden, so she didn't know any better. The fruit of the Tree of Knowledge was never off limits, Gabriel only said that they would not wish to have the knowledge it held for it would destroy the happiness they had - God valued free will of humanity over everything else, so it was always available to them, he also just told them the consequences of what would happen if they ate of it. I am 100% with your message, I just want to try and put an end to the slander of Eve, the Holy Mother of Humanity♡♡♡

"The fruits of my labour that came to me too young.. When he stole my virture" "I'm glad it seems to serve you that I was born and daughter and not a son.." I was raped when I was wayy too young. A very disturbing age. When my mom found out she was pregnant for me, she cried because she didn't want me to be a girl. Because she knew that I would be... Well.. she knew. Just because I was a girl, my mom knew the risks.. and she was right... She, herself, was through the same terrible fate, but much MUCH worse for much longer than me.. 10 years by multiple men. I pray one day this will not be the world we live in if I were to have a daughter

I'm doing this challenge where; choose a song, any song and you have to make a book/story based off of it. I did a randomiser and then shuffle on my playlist and this song came up and honestly, it was the best option. It has so many possibilities. I have 2 ideas i like the best and I want ppl if they see this, to tell me which they like better: 1 - The story of Adam and Eve was twisted and changed. The OG story is that Eve never wanted to marry Adam. She was forced. She was in love with some other guy, but that was not allowed. Idk what would happen from there, but essentially she kills adam after being r4ped and the story is changed into what it is now. Idk what would happen after tho, just a thought. 2 - A nun. She grew up catholic and wanted to get closer ti God. But she fell in love. I cant decide whether she fell in love with a woman or with a priest or with Satan. One of those 3. She falls out of religion. Idk what else happens, thats the overall blah Ok now tell me ur thoughts

@InsaneLaughter01
@InsaneLaughter01 Жыл бұрын
@@spleens4200 She’s also the first woman. She was created equal to Adam. But Adam wanted her to submit to him and she’s said ‘fat chance’. So he complained to God who would cast her out (for knowing her worth 🙄). She was dubbed to be the Mother of demons because she got with Lucifer (he agreed that she deserved respect and equality.) She would be demonized until she would be completely removed from the Bible. Eve was the second woman and rather being from clay like Adam, she was made from his rib and made ‘docile’ in the head to keep her from rebelling like Lilith. She would go on to eat from the tree of knowledge (Funny how such a loving god doesn’t want people knowing right from wrong. 🧐 Abusers don’t want their victims getting wise.) After Adam would eat the fruit too, God would go on to banish them from Eden and punish all of womankind (but not mankind 🙄). The forced submission of women is literally just to pamper men’s egos. It’s so stupid.

It’s a cheeky song about how hypocritical religion (Christianity by the lingo) is of women. It also references how most victims are children when they first are assaulted.

It’s definitely indie/indie folk but the style can vary in those genres if you’re on Spotify click the 3 dots next to this song and hit “go to radio” it’ll bring up ~50 songs that are similar

If you like this I think you'll like Sir Chloe, Lilith by Adelaine Troutman and (this is very specific lol) but you should look up Homestuck songs by PhemieC. They're really good and you can enjoy them without knowing the content of HS :)
