Paris Sainte Chapelle

Sainte Chapelle or the Holy Chapel is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture.
It was built by KING LOUIS IX as a shrine to house "The crown of thorns".
Louis IX became king at the age of 12. He was a devout catholic. He loved sermons and sacred chants.
He was happy in the company of priests and other men of wisdom. Daily King Louis attended twice the holy Mass. He asked his people to behold the majesty of God everywhere.
The stain glass windows contain 1100 scenes of the Bible beginning with Genesis ending with revelation .Beautiful statues of the apostles let us glide into the time of Jesus Christ.
King Louis IX reigned his country with high values till he passed at age 56. He was canonized as a saint within a short time after his death.
