I'm in Germany at about the same latitude as Paris, France. We have wonderfully late summer nights, too. The further north you go, the later it stays light. Go to Scandinavia in summer and you'll have the midnight sun!

@@KarenBritChick I feel you’ve been to the key places and were well advised. When I saw « Negresco » and « La Petite Maison », I knew you were given the 411. Off the top of my head, I’d say the Easternmost area of the Riviera is the best part (around Eze and Villefranche, which you have visited). I would check out the beach at Beaulieu for instance - my favorite. You should also visit the Italian Riviera, which is not that far (Bordighera, Dolceacqua, Imperia etc and their charming old towns and absolutely delicious restaurants…) Westwards (about a 3 hour drive though), you should explore the area around Marseille (the Calanques, Cassis…) and a little closer, I would give Port Grimaud a shot. The region is so diverse. Hope you’ll get to explore it all. ❤️

Great vlog!!! And it was great seeing my regular (pre-Covid) stomping grounds of decades; Paris/Nice/Cannes/Beausoleil/Monaco. As for whether it stays light outside for that long where I live, it doesn't. But, over the last 39 years of back and forth to Denmark, spending summers there since I was a teen, it stayed light for very long periods. The windows had to have double curtains to block out the light in order to sleep. A few years ago, while back in Paris during the summer, I took a nap at my hotel early one evening. When I woke up, I thought that it was the next day, but it was actually the same evening that I had fallen asleep. My Parisian friend thought that I was crazy when I e-mailed her that I'd meet her soon at the cafe. The meet-up was to be for the next-day morning. But, when I woke up and looked at my watch, I thought that it was the next-day morning as it was still really light outside. She and I laughed hysterically. I went back to sleep. Jet lag. LOL! Michael's Dior man bag is perfection and suits him very well. Glad that you two had a great trip. You and Michael are hilarious. Greetings from Los Angeles

I live north of Paris so it stays light for a little longer in summer. A beauty and fascination that never ceases to amaze me although I‘ve known it all my life. You pay for it in winter when it gets dark at 4 p.m.
