Dude, I got all emotional hearing your coffee story. So awesome. Got misty eyed for sure. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I’m planning to do my first P2A in 2025. Videos like yours give me the confidence to go for it. Thank you 🙏🏼

Best message to start my weekend! Thank you so much Ocean Mat for watching our video also for reminding me of that beautiful moment. If you have any questions about P2a shoot me a message on IG. You should definitely go for it, it’s going to be a lot of hard work and fun. The hardest part is signing up. Which distance do you have in mind?

@@Barhighendurance my entry to the race was a surprise last minute thing because a friend had to drop out. i had not ever thought i could do it. but after he encouraged me to consider, i did the research and discovered i could probably do the 40km distance and the start time wasn't too early for me since i have sleep issues. so i decided to give it a go and simply aim to finish. and i actually did finish! even though i had to push my bike up most of the latter climbs, and carry my bike through the mud field (it was soo heavy)... i was still happy for the "welcome to hell" mud chute that I totally sent it in that section and made it through with no issues. i learned that the mud conditions really do change over the day and after 3000 people had gone before me haha. i didn't feel ashamed of walking the final hill, it was brutal. and then i was able to hop on my bike for the final 50m so i was happy to finish on the bike. i treated it more like a ride rather than a race, and that's good because i've not done much racing on my bike before. not sure if i would get into more competitive stuff, but for sure i could imagine doing P2A again in the future. i feel like it's a super intense fun-ride even if i'm not competing :)

Yessss Silas great job! Nothing like a surprise race entry haha. Yeah those hills were rough for sure. Yeah no shame at all and exactly treat is as a fun ride is definitely a good mindset as you become more comfortable to want to be competitive with it in the future.
