I just bought mine and it is phenomenal! I believe it's on the same level as the Pioneer DJM s9, 11 and 7 as well as the Rane 70 and 72! I would recommend this mixer to any dj who wants to buy it!

Agreed. Now full disclosure I sold mine recently (and my Rane TWELVES) since my focus is on the Rane One controller and I still had my older Rane 62 around for my vinyl setup. But this mixer still rocks. I miss the finite control with the faders for effects.

The lack of decent hardware efx was a deal breaker, ended up picking up an s7

Numark was the first brand to introduce a fader for the effects and it was brilliant!

Well the Rosie was the first fader-based mixer. I think that came out in 1970 or 1971.

Great vid, I have a unrelated Q, just got a ddj1000srt, I have a similar side setup as you (UI16), but I want to put a splitter/mic feedback suppressor in my new DDJ case [has the extra 1U space under the controller], so I can just bring that with a mic instead of the other full setup box as a lighter carry for small gigs were I don't need the additional mics and support. I'm not finding any good solutions. If you had one rack unit to install (minus a wireless mic) what would you use?. The DBXdrivePA2 looks interesting but from a cost perspective I'd rather just get a second UI16 or upgrade to the 24. I'm mostly concerned that the DDJ1000 doesn't have feedback suppression, but I'd like something with more Aux outs too. My brain hurts thinking about this...

Fantastic overview and incite! Looking to replace my S9 and always had my eye on this. Anyone know if Phase transfer through the USB?
@djlouparis3 жыл бұрын
I do believe there is enough voltage on the Reloop to deliver power to Phase. And again this is a hub so.
@oliviergaridou85252 жыл бұрын
I do charge phase via the usb hub but to play I do plug the Phase directly in my laptop

Did you try it with Rekordbox as well? Think it would require MIDI mapping.

Does the pitch play mode work in virtual dj? Nice video 👍
@djlouparis3 жыл бұрын
So VDJ does have pitch adjust but it's a bit different. I think with the right programming you can mimmic pitch play in Serato.

Thanks for the video! Did you ever get this or the Rane 70?

I owned this for a while but did sell it when I bought my Rane One. I still have my Rane 62 for my vinyl sets. 😀

Nice review! 👍🏾 Is there a mic / voice echo on this mixer?
@djlouparis2 жыл бұрын
I've since sold mine for a controller setup. But if memory serves there was no direct effect on the mic channel.

Hmmm. Are a able to snag the previous firmware and see if it restores the proper behavior?

Can you play normal vinyl on this mixer when you just want to listen to your record collection? If so I will be saving up for this mixer!
@djlouparis4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. And you have built in effects (although lacking an echo).

Did you pluged your rane on mixer ?
@djlouparis2 жыл бұрын
Sorry not fully understanding the question. Are you asking if I plugged my Rane 12s into it? The Rane 12s do go through the mixer but just through the USB hub. They are purely MIDI devices in this setup. Newer Rane 12 MK2's also have an RCA audio-out option as well.
