Some people don't know that the Punisher may not have super powers but Nick Fury and Iron Man in one comic were impressed at his resilience to pain this is probably due to the trauma of losing his family the way he did and he feels like he has nothing to lose e.g. even though it probably would never happen but if Thor or Hulks arm got broken they'd screech in pain but Castle would probably snap it back in place and a tear would roll down his cheek. One of the main reasons he can handle supers

@@ParisDemers Yeah his Stoicism in the MCU is unrivalled. Why the portrayal of bernthal and Stevenson were more accurate than Jane e.g. bernthals Castle gets beaten almost to death by Kingpins immense strength and he laughs bloodied in his face or Stevenson snapping his nose back in place with a pencil but Jane squirms with the pen knife stabbing, they should of cut the ow part out. Also another thing some people don't know but he calls himself the Punisher because he will never have justice or know what it feels like because A he doesn't know which mafia family made his family collateral and B he'll never get them back. It's why his methods too most are extreme in the MCU because without justice or a sense of what it means, Punishment can go to ANY extreme.

For those interested in possibly trying to learn MCMAP, it is not an ideal discipline for civilians. As stated, MCMAP is a combination of different moves and techniques from several other disciplines all rolled up into a catch-all catalog specifically for the Marines. For one thing, the moves were all selected to be executable while wearing full kit (body armor, kevlar helmet, weapon, ammo, water, etc), so they are not necessarily the best moves/techniques; theres often a better technique, they're just not good when you have limited mobility like a Marine typically would have in combat. MCMAP is also VERY basic. It was meant to be a discipline that could be taught and understood by individuals with absolutely no prior fighting experience. Again, thats not necessarily a bad thing, especially when trying to train a service universally, but that does mean that there are significantly better, more advanced moves not included in MCMAP. I'm not by any means knocking MCMAP, it has it's purpose, but if you're going to take the time to learn a discipline and use possibly use it with real-world applications, I'd recommend looking into something more traditional. I am not a MCMAP instructor, who would be your best source for more information, but I am a 10 year Marine that has spent more than my fair share of time in the pits learning MCMAP and still feel pain in my ass-bone when remembering the first day I had to learn counter to the round-kick and my training uke (partner) was about 6'5"... That is a long way down when they sweep the leg LOL!
@rusty79842 жыл бұрын
MCMAP is absolutely useless against any trained fighter. I’ve seen MAIs ( Martial Arts Instructors) get beaten by brand new boots that have like 1 year of wrestling in high school. Only thing MCMAP is good for is conditioning and strength training. If you want an actual fighting style to train in just do Muy Thai and BJJ or literally almost anything else. The one technique I will always clown on is the counter to the round punch as a prior boxer that shit would get you rocked by a somewhat decent fighter

One of the benefits that Punisher has compared to Daredevil or Batman is that he doesn't have an alter ego or full time job so he could sleep in and get in as much rest as possible. I don't think he goes nightly patrols as much but favours doing missions so he could do them at any time of day

I can promise you that MCMAP is not an ideal martial arts discipline to pursue. As stated by the narrator of the video, it is a combination of multiple different disciplines and combined into a catch-all catalog of moves for the Marines. However, the movements and techniques were also specifically selected to be actionable while wearing full kit (body armor, kevlar helmet, weapon, etc). So some of the moves aren't as ideal as others not included in the discipline, they're just easier to do with limited mobility that the Marine has while wearing his/her kit. MCMAP is also VERY basic; it is designed to be teachable and executable for somebody with absolutely no fighting experience. Again, great for the Marines, not so great for the world. So if you want to actually pursue a discipline, look into one that is not specifically designed for service members as those disciplines don't always translate well to civilians. I'm a 10 year Marine vet btw, so I'm not just going off speculation... GOOD LUCK!

There's a lot that gets lost when people talk about the Punisher. Some see him as 1 dimensional and then you have consistency issues that happens with all comics. Having so many different writers over time. I think at it's core. What makes the Punisher interesting is his terrible willpower to keep going. Like a broken machine. He's highly skilled and trained but none of that is special. His mental illnesses keeps him moving forward constantly. It's not a choice, or habit. There's no release or cathartic end. What's left of Frank Castle is along for the ride. I didn't like his solo series much. I think Daredevil season 2 handled it pretty well.
@joeberger34412 жыл бұрын
Nice way to organize the training stressors. I would personally still add a LISS day on day 5, or at the end of a training week. Since most people aren't as active on a day to day basis as Frank Castle. Getting in that long duration zone 2 work once a week or so is super important for aerobic capacity which includes your work capacity for the high intensity intervals and lifting.

@@iknowwhoasked.8593 Exactly. There's no way those actors can achieve the physical shape needed for their role in a short amount of time. Movies have a set schedule for filming production. And the movie studio will have in their contract with the actor to keep their weight under control and be in good physical shape. Take for example Dwayne Johnson. He does put in the effort of working out, but he's more muscular than he was in his early days of WWE and acting. We can clearly see he's on something.
