The boat is a Cape 31, owned and helmed by Lance Burger, crewed by his daughters and a whole bunch of young Laser and 420 sailors.
Name of the boat: CuAl6(PO4)4(Oh)8.4H2O , more commonly referred to as “the turquoise boat”.

Little moment of tension there when the tiller got hung up on something. When I was in the SF marina a few decades ago there was a boat that docked without motor very frequently. The approach to their slip was downwind in the prevailing breeze. They would drop all sail and trail warps under bare poles for the last 50 yards most of the time. It was a very lightweight boat. Crew seemed very skillful.

Nice. Reminds me of racing J24's out of SYC in Melbourne, Aus. Not an engine anywhere - you sailed off the dock, and back to it. If you weren't good at it you would learn the fine skill of paddling.

Solo you need a bow line to drop over the first cleat on the dock as a brake. Works a charm with a light boat
