You should do a full video breakdown of gummy stones. Still dont really know how they work or when to use them and I'm sure others are in the same boat.
@joepetch3085 жыл бұрын
Travis Kmiecik they take all the unwanted metal/burrs off your edges that come from sharpening/dulling/riding. I tend to use a gummy stone after sharpening and after a long day riding. Hope that helps! 🤙🏻

TJ, I love your vid’s and learned a lot from watching them. What kind of binding setup do you ride on your Twinpig? Is your front and backangle 15?
@narrowistheway773 жыл бұрын
Next time you go to South America I recommend Ski Portillo about 3 hours from Santiago, only 450 people allowed to ride there per day and beautiful dry powder in July/August. Also check out Bariloche Argentina, great resorts 👍🏼

Love the work of both of you guys, I've done the Cerro Colorado myself this weekend and it was awesome (ice had no grip at all and many riders went downhill like a rocket just trying to traverse it xD), just love the pow and I don't do park at all. I think freeriding is my thing. Cheers from Chile, can't wait to have some more vids and have you back over here.

If POW is fresh and dry, i go POW. Park is a backup plan if the snow is shitty for the day. That being said, i didnt really have a great POW run in NZ this season. The snow is less this years compared to last year :( . Out of my 8days trip to NZ(Coronet and Remarks), my last day at Remarks were the lucky one to have thick fresh POW. Theres a demo booth on that POW day, so i managed to try some K2 2020 volume shift boards (CoolBean, Simply pleasure, party platter)

Any comments on the new party platter? I was thinking to switch my k2 eighty seven to the platter lol

Should I get the Twinpig in 154, 156W or 157? I am 195cm high (6‘4), weight around 77kg (170 lbs) and my feet are 45 (11 US). I would mainly use it for All-Mountain

What are your thoughts for brining a small bit of wax to help make the rail slide better? I always seem to get caught on sticky features lol
@james79675 жыл бұрын
most times speed will fix that problem but if its a summer riding day and the rails seem to dry up a bit try and wash them down with some snow. it will take all the dirt and grime off the rail and wont mess up and possible hurt the guy who was on the lift when you were waxing
@joshbarton54465 жыл бұрын
I've always wondered the same thing being a skateboarder, but I've always been too scared to try it cause I didn't want to ruin any features and make them sticky so I've never tried it. But I do know that if you tried it with snowboard/ski wax it would not help it would make it sticky. But skate wax on the other hand, might work, cause that's what it's made to do.

Do gummy stones help to keep an edge or do they dull it out?
@nickbroyles65845 жыл бұрын
Jesse Duran dull them out. Not as sharp so you don’t catch an edge when doing a boardslide on a rail
