I enjoyed this video. I learn a lot when you edit photos. I like that your photos still look realistic after you edit. Some KZbinrs edit so much that the photos look over the top and not natural anymore.

Nice video 😊 Fun to see how you can make something out of a rather dark and almost underexposed photo as long as you shoot in raw 😊

Thanks Gareth, the format is fine as a change. I am far more comfortable with LightRoom Classic than with Photoshop so that session gave me some pointers to use with my wildlife images and it was very timely too as Spring is appearing and the birds are in mating mood. Sadly I can't justify a 500mm or 600mm prime lens as I've just splashed out on a super-wide zoom but my trusty Sigma 100-400 with a 1.4x tele-converter on my Nikon Z6ii gives me a chance of satisfaction when I get everything right. When I switch to my faster 70-200mm Sigma, the same teleconverter and with the DX crop facility within the camera, I can get the equivalent of 420mm at f/4 which works well for photographing birds and squirrels.

Hi Gareth I have just watched the Lightroom video, I like to get my photo's straight out of the camera rather than sit by a computer, do you think that my sort of photography is now defunct? I do enjoy Tutorial Tuesdays thank you

Interesting edits, thank you. However, need to get in closer for the blue tit shots at the time of shooting - the crops employed in the edit of centering the birds didn't work for me because they are facing in a direction, more space required in the way they're facing so that the composition is balanced. The number of twigs make the bird images 'busy' and are a distraction as too is the bright background. It's all easier said than done, I know. The squirrel shot has potential but it wasn't realised by the preset (imo) which gave it a slightly unnatural look. /// Sorry to seem negative but want to be honest. /// I do appreciate your editing tutorials though, please keep them coming.
