Revisiting your video, because I now have a Nikon 50mm D1.8 after losing my first one over a year ago...you made me remember why I fell in LOVE with it! QUESTION: Have you ever used it on a DX camera?

The mark 1 didnt really make vertigo shots possible on sony camera's. Do you know if the mark 2 does it better?

I picked the Sony A9 III. 120 FPS. End of story.

I saw a post saying that the R3 had a better performing back screen than the R1 which makes 0 sense if true. Did you happen to notice?
@kpopfanphotos5 күн бұрын
Yeah this has already been confirmed by other reviewers. They lowered the resolution to help with battery life apparently.
@alexfns24274 күн бұрын
@kpopfanphotos not a fan of that on a $7k camera tbh, if I was planning to buy it, I'd sure as heck want the better screen 🤷♂️

But the R1 with the much Better EVF in trade. Seems more then fair.

The R1 came out and the R3 became a toy.
@gtotalman4 күн бұрын
R3 is actually not that match different from R1, the firmware update has added a lot of features to R3. The difference doesn’t justify spending another $3000 on R1
@user-nk2tn1cx7x4 күн бұрын
@@gtotalman The capabilities are completely different. And you can't fix that with firmware. For example, the AF is completely different. There are many parts of the R1 that are unnecessary for the average person.

Fun! Just used mine yesterday and was thinking "Why the fudge dont I use this more often!?!" Its such a brilliant lens and its size is so small (for an 85).
@LMActionsports7 күн бұрын
It’s the best 85 mm e mount lens out right now. I tried both Sony’s ,viltrox, and the samyang v1 which I kept over the Sony gm. But the sigma is so sharp, so fast at finding focus. They hit a home run with that lens and it’s my go to portrait lens also.
@cameraprepper79387 күн бұрын
I do not need aperture 1.4 for a 85mm Lens, so I got (2023) this Zeiss Batis Sonnar 85mm 1.8 T* used for US $550 (taxes included) in excellent condition. The Batis 85mm (452g) are more light weight than the Sigma (625g) and the Batis feels very nice, so for half the price a used Zeiss are a much better buy than the Sigma.

Thanks for the review. I bought 2 pairs of the P3 10 x 42 for our trip to Canada and cruise to Alaska. We’re casual users and hoping to spot and watch whales and bears with these. I didn’t want to over-purchase on specs and wanted them to be compact and durable for travel. Got a great price for them online, £50 cheaper than John Lewis.

I saw your post on the website mentioned that the c400's new codecs allow for better writing of per frame data like Gyro Stabilization Data. I'm curious, did Canon specify is that data will be released via their Codec SDK so NLE's can use it for post stablization. IE Sony's method with Catalyst Browse?

Pretty affordable by Leica's standards - I wonder why? I just bought a (slightly cheaper) lens from Park Cameras (Viltrox 40mm) mainly because I enjoy Alex's videos so much - great price and service too, I will certainly be back for the 20mm soon! Thanks all.
