This is Episode 2 of our 1969 Pontiac GTO project, "Bad Company". This car sat at the same property for 38 years, before we pulled it out with the rollback. In this vid, we pull the original Pontiac 400 and Muncie M-20 four-speed out of the car. Jordan installs new tubular control arms, shocks, and a front disc brake kit. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!

Just found your channel, new subscriber straight away. I'm also from the ST. Louis Metropolitan area 👍👍🤙🤙 As a Dad and a bit of a car guy with my own son, it's definitely heart warming to see a father son team. And to see another young man so excited and into the old vintage iron !! The mighty Pontiac GTO, the birth of the muscle car era! And the whole back story of this car, man I can't wait to see what Jordan does with it!!! Super stoked about finding your channel !! Btw, the speedometer of the red Ford in your first video, that's a simple easy ring-tone fix. 1 bolt replaces that on the side of that tranny. 90's F-150 were the best. It's technically a Mazda transmission if it's a stick. Keep up the AWESOME job guy's!!!

Had one very similar in 76-78. Ram air iv automatic car with a hood tach and hideaways. Shoulda kept it but wanted the 69 SS chevelle more. My first two cars . All I have to show for them is a pistol I kept from the last trade. Gas got high and college happened. After 42 years of making a living, I have retired and tool around in a nice 96 LT4 vette. Still love those ponchos.

I've had a similar problem with getting the front springs installed on 60's Fords. The factory made an oem service tool that was made specifically for installing those type of springs where a standard spring compressor wouldn't fit. It was basically a piece of all-thread with two half inch metal plates on either end that you tightened with a nut through the center of the spring. After fighting for the majority of a day trying to install upper control arms in a 64 T-Bird, I ended up just making one myself, cut out two circular plates out of half inch steel and drilled a hole in the center of both plates, cut a piece of 1-in all thread to size, and two bearings for the two nuts to ride on while you're tightening. Work like a charm and I still use it to this day for Ford and GM coil spring installs. Necessity is the mother of invention, lol!🤦‍♀️😆

As for Hydro for the brakes, you will not regret it. I go to wrecking yard and remove the entire hydro, including hoses, and master cylinder of a diesel 1 ton truck. All for 90 bucks. Very little mod required, mounting holes at firewall and shorten the pedal to hydro length. I get them off the trucks in about 15 minutes.

If it was easy everybody would do it. And you would never find a car ever broke down ever setting up. However I do agree with you.you jumped on a bear. I once pulled one (1951 ford) out of a running creek after sitting for years. It took longer a lot more busted knuckles but I drove that car for years and years. Hang in there guys I love the humor. One quick note wash that fire extinguisher powder off. The next morning it will be rusted even more.

Sweet gettin busy. I'm hoping you can save the engine, check the block casting number and letters on front passenger side block, heads look to be hi pref, with the rocker arm oil drip plates. The head numbers are top center exhaust ports. Before 1971 they would be hi compression heads possibly, small combustion chambers, good with flat top pistons. Nice work, very much looking forward to see this bad boy cruising down the road. You remind me of myself back in the late 70s, my addiction is Firebird, 1968 my favorite year. L

I hope you keep that 400. The heads are full flow exhaust... rare... you can tell by the head bolts over the exhaust ports. Them not being countersunk is the way to ID full flow exhaust style heads.

Watch that long bolt that goes through the water pump into the intake, those break even when they look good. Just a suggestion, you could call this car the Swamp Goat. Great car but she’s rough boys.
