Hello from Russia! I want to buy fountain pen like a present for New Year and your review has helped me to choose the pen. Thank you!

I have the original Parker IM with the different shaped nib. It has been languishing in a cupboard for a number of years because the drying out issue made it almost unusable. It's a nice looking pen with a major flaw. Thanks for an excellent review.

Yes, my older IM (with the small nib) dries out very quickly. Sadly, the lacquer finish has also started to bubble and come off. Its a real pity, because the actually wrote very well.

Thank you for a very thoughtful and thorough review. You take such care to describe each detail of the pen.

I have this pen, the drying issue has to do with the nib. If you can work on nib it will no dry anymore. I love them. For any fontain pen, you need to know how to work on nib

I have a couple of these but I just can't love them. As you mentioned, both dry out in less than one they, the sealing of the cap is just terrible 🤯 The other major flaw they have is that their tines were touching at the tip (both pens!!!), which made their slits (literally) disappear, but the steel from which they're made is very stiff and difficult to floss. I'm still figuring out how to solve those issues 🤔

I've got a couple of these pens. The drying out issue really annoys me, but it's a good writer otherwise.
