This one hits different. Grew up in onalaska, tx. 3 stop lights, one grocery store. 48 people in my class and I'm one of 4 or 5 that left. Started chasing money all over the country. Met a girl from Houston and moved to kingwood 9 years ago. I would have never thought it would feel different coming home everytime and people would treat me different but the moment I left I was outside the bubble and didn't seem to belong anymore. So Parker you wrote a hell of a song on this one and to those who want to get out of a small town and chase a dream, never feel guilty for it.

Strange how personally this resonates, enlisted after high school from a rural county thirteen years ago and now after three tours when I go back its changed and more populated, some of the old places are still there but there's less familiar faces and it hits me how much the years and wars have taken; and its getting harder to find the salt of the earth folk and small town America.

Beyond the Row just because the production of their music got better, doesn’t mean they/or their sound changed. Its just well put together, mixed and produced well. His first two records especially limestone kid had that raw sound because he was a young artist and resource wise thats what he had access to. As an artist you dont want your music to sound unrefined and under produced forever. He can still rip the acoustic sets and that raw country tone as good as anyone but it has to be expected and appreciated that with more commercial success his music needs to continue to mature. This song is amazing love everything about it.

@@thoughtswithme6170 he does do online classes but for absolute beginners. He made me feel stupid like I didn't know what to do after I was taught by a better guitar player. I stopped following him because @countrysongteacher refuses to really take any requests if he does it has to be something he likes. One of the most requested song. He has completely avoided. It's up to you. It's how much you will need to re learn. You have been warned. That and he is a fruit loop and that said my uncle didn't know what he was talking about after getting lessons from a guitar teacher that has more years playing then country song teacher been playing. So sum it up it's your funeral. If he doesn't like what you say. He blocks you from his page. This is coming from someone who used to learn from him then learned from Your Guitar Sage. He over there charges almost one flat rate where the other guy his stuff is either sold out or pulled. Your Guitar Sage would be better. Then the fruit loop from @countrysongteacher 😂😂
